No problem with that but hospitality works both ways in my book.

I want my city and ideally the entire world to be as fully hospitable to anyone visiting, footy or no footy, race, ethnicity, sex, sexuality, religion etc. We should be thankful our fair city is one of those places where a supporter of say Wolves can come to here and enjoy a drink without being told to get the fuck out or get aggro. It happens, of course, but from all my years drinking in the city and following NUFC, it’s only mainly when rival fans have been utter cunts.

Not really why should a Wolves fan get to experience every bar in our city, whilst our lot are turned away everywhere. In life you treat others how they treat you is my experience. It may make their away fans push for their city pubs to be more accommodating in return.

You treat people how you would hope you were treated if the roles were reversed. Otherwise the whole world goes to shit.

 What a miserable life to live

Just as well your opinion's an unpopular one up here, I'd fucking hate for us to be like Wolves

I’m very happy in life thanks and never been one for just having a popular opinion.

It happens at most away grounds because there is only like 4 pubs within walking distance. Would be the same here if the stadium was out in the sticks.

The sheer amount of establishments in Newcastle means overall very little bother as people aren’t penned apart from each other. 99% of away fans I meet pre game are sound.

It is shite, archaic craic that they don't let any away fans in any pubs, mind. Why I probably won't ever do Wolves away. Away days for me are about going to cities up and down the country with mates, few pints and a bit craic with fellow away fans and home fans alike, match, back home. Wolves actively inhibits that experience. Besides SJP Molineux is one of the few grounds in a city centre and I get the sentiment that we shouldn't let them in any of our pubs but I would never want to see it enforced.

It’s down to their fans who kick off with visiting fans, hence why they do it to avoid bother.

The thing is that’s a very short-term, simplistic view of looking at things. I would dare say if they just let opposition roam free in the city, it would very sharply become the norm, and there’d be no issues.

We’ve seen it with the way they’ve policed the mackems the last couple of times here. Instead of escorting them in a convoy they just said ‘sort yourselves out’ (albeit still with a very heavy police presence around the city). Despite everyone predicting “carnage”, pretty much everything was fine.

Not for me lads if they can’t treat us with respect down there, then I wouldn’t let any of the dingle cunts in our bars.

What an absolutely shit take this is

Thank fuck Newcastle is one of the nicest places to visit when it comes to the people you meet, or I wouldn't be anywhere near as comfortable brining my mates or new family over :aww:

It's one of the reasons to be proud to be a Geordie. Many a time we've been in a pub and run into a few away fans and had good craic. Wouldn't change it for the world, let alone the opportunity to be spoken about in the same terms as wolverhampton.

It’s not a shit take if you’re one of our away fans who gets treat like shit every year down there. It’s an absolute piss take and I’ll be lobbying for the dingles to be banned from every bar in the city centre later this season.

Possibly with the exception of the Black Garter where HTT can roll out the red carpet and offer them free drinks and as many lines they want.

Newcastle must be one of the few places where the home/away pub distinction doesn’t exist, although 200 pubs within half a mile it makes it possible suppose. Only time I’ve ever been asked who I support was when Stoke came up in the FA cup and caused all that bother.

Had it quite a few times away, Everton being a notable pain in the arse. We eventually ask the police if we could just buy cans from the office and drink them outside as was impossible otherwise.

That Stoke game was crazy. They were right cunts that day.
