gbandit Posted August 20, 2023 Share Posted August 20, 2023 Nice, it’s early days so the rest of this post might be utter nonsense but with Tino here it’s hard to see how Ashby has a long-term future here as a starter so it comes down to whether he’d be happy being second in line or if not, then the better he plays this season the more interest there’ll be. If that's not the case, it wouldn't surprise me if Dan Ashworth/the club saw Ashby as someone we could sign for a few hundred thousand, develop via loans, and then flog for 5-10m depending on how he gets on. I looked at a Swansea forum yesterday and they said there’s a caveat as his defending is really poor and he was competley to blame for their second goal.
