Because like Brighton, the culture and style of play is embedded throughout Ajax. Almost like the manager is a coach that needs to just make sure they continue along the same track.

However at man u you come into a squad of players picked by the previous three of four managers who all had different ideas.... and then rinse and repeat

But their ingenious plan was to employ Ragnick which would smooth into the introduction of Ten Haggs appointment.  The whole two appointments (well definitely Ragnick) was pathetic.

It just repeats the cycle and Frankensteins the squad further.

This is the absolute worst thing about changing managers all the time. Messes up the playing squad so badly.

I remember Froggy saying the club had behaved appallingly towards De Gea, Im sure. I hadn’t seen Onana previously so had no idea what he was like but no one could have predicted he’d be this shit. Fundamentally he just isn’t a good enough goalkeeper but his cockiness has led to a bunch of extra errors too. He just doesn’t seem to do a lot of the basics of shot stopping

Didn't they bring in Rangnick to oversee the transfer department, then scrap that plan just because he had a shite run as Interim Head Coach?

All seems bizarre.

I agree that the club are a basket case at the moment BUT didn't the Man Utd fans say he was the second coming because they beat little inadequate Newcastle United in the Carabao  Cup Final?

Manager of the season, much better than Howe etc etc. Whenever Howe was praised by someone after last season, Man United fans stepped in to preach about how much better Ten Hag was.

He’s definitely not handled the Sancho stuff well, his man management skills are awful.

He handled it perfectly. The only way anyone can suggest otherwise is if they're blissfully unaware of what happened. Sancho had chance after chance.

As much as he’s probably been in the right the public spats with players like Sancho, Ronaldo, Maguire are corrosive to the squad buy in. Him and/or the club have showing they are willing to throw a player under the bus if it suits.

Fraser was the closest we’ve had here but it was pretty much kept in house and just not talked about.

Howe will demand a lot from them and possibly be quite harsh if they are slacking but the players know they aren’t going to get publicly slated by the manager.

Having a read of Red Cafe and it’s quite split on Ten Haag but they all seem to agree he shouldn’t be allowed any input on transfers.

A little late for that now [emoji38]

He's spent what.. ? 400 million on absolute dross like Antony and Onana.

Biggest mistake they made IMO.

Part of the reason they put him as manager was so he could have an insight into all of the players. He was supposed to restructure things completely I believe and not just transfers.

Gathered all of that info and presented the ideas of how to restructure things at the club and they binned him off based on results, when he wasn't even there to become manager.

The decision makers behind the scenes are the real problem at the club I think.

Watching Man Utd implode is as joyous as finding a carrier bag full of jazz mags in a hedge when you were a youth, then getting home to see a note from your mam on the kitchen bench to say she’s gone looking for bargains at the community centre jumble sale and won’t be back for a couple of hours

Yes and no. Rangnick took the Austria job. Was initially going to consult for us for a couple of days a month and then that was scrapped as it's utterly ridiculous.

Wasnt the 'two days a month' role put forward after results started going tits up?

Such a weird club, they have players that can win a match against any club on any given day but they don’t seem to have any interest in being consistent about it.

Something rotten there.. the way they’ve handled significant player situations (Greenwood, Sancho) has been appalling, owners that have no sporting interest in the club, no direction, what kind of scouting do they have?

You can see clear as day this will continue on and off, season after season. Change a manager, no difference..

ETH has been made to look a mug by his players. His aura of the work he did at Ajax in tatters, he’s been exposed there big time.

Yeah, that whole idea came about later when the decision makers started second guessing things I believe.
