My comments were probably booze and Arteta fuelled more than focus on the fans 😂 I know plenty of Arsenal fans, some are alright, but a few have adopted Arteta’s selective stance and what you often see and hear more recently. No biggy, every club has knobs 👍

Yeah, absolutely agree that everyone has knobs. The big shift over the years has been towards the kind of knobbery prevalent on the internet - just look at Brennan Johnson taking himself off Instagram. What is clear however is that Arsenal (and Liverpool, in a different way) have far more of this kind of knob than anyone else, in England at least.

Arteta ranting and throwing his toys out of the pram on number of occasions has definitely amped up the Gooner fan base and made a high proportion of them intolerable

Yup. He’s such an insufferable twat that he kind of embodies the online Arsenal presence. Like, Klopp sort of channeled that stuff for Liverpool but they’re instantly less detestable under Slot.

City as a club in my experience are a non entity, they'd be like Everton without the takeover so them being raised to a megaclub and corrupting their way to dominance is emotionally bereft. City won the league. Meh. They don't care, I don't care. The PL isn't a real league. It's a desperate attempt at a closed shop and it's funny that the other teams that gleefully pulled the ladder up turned around and saw another ladder in front of them as well.

I can understand this view but City are part of it though. They are one of the 'big six' that just happens to be better and more successful in recent years and were lucky enough that they were able to spend loads in the last 15 years or so, only now it seems they may have gained success breaking rules.

I don't like a lot of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd et al fans, but I don't really get the desire to see them annoyed as they're also a non-entity like City are. I've said before I have a soft spot for Arsenal, but mainly I just like seeing something exciting at the top of the table as a relative neutral rather than the same happening every year. If it means annoying fans or a manager that oversteps the mark sometimes getting something to cheer about it's not the end of the world to me.

City winning the title again, it'd just be meh for me.

On.the other hand, Liverpool or Arsenal fans celebrating winning the title and act endlessly like utter shitheads is insuferable. I'd rather laugh and enjoy watching them in tears and anguish. Couldn't care less if City fans were crying, if any of them do, if they didn't win it.

Hope City still win it over the other two. Imagine the media wankfest if Slot wins it in his first season or legohead finally getting the better of Pep.

People always say thus but fans are more likely to act like 'utter shitheads' when they are not getting what they want.

Not like City fans are all wonderful people. You don't hear about the annoying ones because they've had very little to complain about. If they get a big punishment and go a while without winning much, watch them start to annoy people in the same way as the rest.

I had a soft spot for Arsenal pre-Arteta and the sense of inevitability and entitlement when anyone dares to take points away from them. City used to be like that before they won everything but it's pretty much disappeared up their own arsehole. The Liverpool and Arsenal feeling of we deserve this because look at our history and again, the attempt at a closed shop so they can just quarrel amongst themselves while feeding off the lower tier teams is insufferable and I wish them every hardship and misery.

I think if we hadn't been taken over I would have walked away from football by now. The only saving grace is the prospect of eventually being the ladder above even City and how angry it will make the rest of them.

Like the entire conversation is on the yellow card but if Aston Villa scored either of those 2 goals against Arsenal, they'd be bitching incessantly about that instead. They're just fucking insufferable.

I don’t see how it is that small of a sample size from my POV. I have been to the Emirates probably 10-15 times over the years. Work and socialise with plenty of them. My Dad and some more

of my family support them. I live about a 50 minute train from the ground.

There has been a noticeable shift in their behaviour. The way they went on after our 0-0 there the other season. You’d think we’d invented shithousing and time wasting. Never heard anything like it post-match.

People say Liverpool fans are entitled and have a victim mentality (not relating to THAT by the way). But this lot are miles clear in that regard, currently.

I know all fans are fickle, hypocritical, blinkered and only seem to focus on the injustices against them from refs. But there are levels to it.

It’s a shame that Arteta has made them such an unlikeable team and fanbase. As I’d rather someone else other than City keep winning it. Just not Chelsea or Man U, mind.

If the ends justify the means and they win the league. Then what will they care. I just find it mildly amusing that they’re now like Mourinho’s Chelsea. Masters of the dark arts, blame everyone but themselves, incredibly boring to watch a lot of weeks, 4 centre backs, heavily reliant on set pieces (jealous of that BTW). When they were always the moral arbiters of how football should be played under Wenger for so many years of my life and would often act like that sort of stuff was beneath them

Yeah I agree the way they acted after our matches against them was ridiculous and no doubt Arteta doesn't help there. It all just comes from being pissed off at the lack of success in recent years though. Mentioned it already I know, but City fans aren't all harmless people - you just won't notice as much toxic behaviour because they've for a long time had very little to complain about. If they hadn't won the league in 20 years I'm sure they would react similar in such scenarios.

Regarding Arteta's behaviour, I think it's a typical part of being a manager at the top of the league. Pep complains too and he'd do it a lot more when fewer things go his way. Same with Klopp, Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho etc.

I’m blinded because I think Pep is amazing and their style of football has been incredible. Little to dislike about them except that they bought success. But then, isn’t that basically the only way?

Admit that it would be nice to see a bit more competition, but it wouldn’t really make me happy if Man Utd won the league instead

How did you feel about their style of football in the FA Cup final last year against Man United?

Trick question. They weren't allowed to play any style.

I find Arsenal's fanbase hilarious. Highly emotional.

They've not won the league in 20 years. I don't know any Arsenal fans that think they should in the league. And they know they won't win the CL.

I hate them as a cartel club but other than that - probably one of the teams I like the most in the pyramid. A part of it is that you know they will never dominate the league..
