Bit rich Van Dijk talking about Torres being 6ft+ as Liverpool players have been dropping to the floor at the slightest touch all game.

So a few weeks ago, according to most on here. Villa were miles better than us, Emery had done a far better job than Howe, they’ve bought better (they have in fairness), the club was better run etc etc.

Win tomorrow and we go above them.

Funny old game.

Funny old game.

Their squad is nowhere near big enough for UCL extra games.

They could have conceded any amounts of goals from their corners today like. The coach dancing around on the side like a pillock. These set piece coaches don’t half have main character syndrome.

Almost feel for them. Welcome to our world of stifled ambition

Still fuming about PSR and how it has **** us this season.

We had to sell Luiz for a low fee and 2 players who are now out on loan, and we had to sell Diaby for European financial rules.

Having lost Diaby and Zaniolo, only to replace them with Philogene and an injury prone Ramsey, means we are weaker than last season from an attacking perspective.

We desperately need a RB, and we need some proper creativity in attack.

I don't think they've played well for most games this season (like us) and results have started to catch up with them.

They were lucky to beat both Everton and Wolves at home and Ipswich could have done them at Portman Road.

To be honest, tonight was one of their better performances I thought. They could easily have taken something.

Without going into too much detail, you’ve both played four of the “Big Six” and both have a 0 goal difference. You’ve played Brighton and Fulham - they’ve only played Fulham. Similar fixtures I presume. I do think the CL has had an effect.

There's a lot to be said about that. When you look at the table we've played Brighton and away to Fulham too.

I meant in the media.

Emery is much higher rated than Howe in the media so I want to hear the reaction.  I’m aware that his European success usually comes at the cost of league position so maybe he does get some of the blame.

Rather than the media questioning why the system prevents us and Villa from building champions league level squads even though our owners have the money.

If it doesn’t cost us anything (and it probably would) - I would actually prefer Villa to qualify for the CL again. Just to give a blueprint of how it can be done.
