Villa have all the luck this season.

To be fair, we didn't have much luck when, on this ground in an early round, we got dumped because the ref spotted Mings doing something he'd prob have gotten away with most of the time.

However, I will admit, things have gone our way tonight. After a season of abysmal injury luck, though, fuck that, who cares.

Also, bringing in players like Asensio and Rashford in January when we needed to strengthen quickly for the remainder, good work, that.

Seems pretty similar to me.

We're both pushing to break into the big time.

Villa’s CL run is a success. Ours wasn’t.

It also going to be very lucrative - ours was minimally.

IMO their CL run and the sale of Duran will have done wonders for their revenues. CL run has got to be £50m+. Ours was what? £32m?

Probably says more about my knowledge of players these days. But I couldn't name you a single club brugge player. I think that's kind of telling of the level of quality Villa are up against in comparison to what we had to face last year, and this is the last 16!

Yeah does feel like they have replaced us. They are raking in some serious dosh this year from this run, possibly could win the fa cup and are still in with a shout for top 5. So will be in a stronger position than us financially moving forward.

Nah, fair play, you're doing really good things on and off the pitch. Quite jealous.

That's one very specific part of a much larger picture.

I do believe Villa are ahead of us on their trajectory, curtesy of starting from a more solid platform, but it's a similar trajectory all the same.

Jealous of Villa UCL run. RB Leipzig one of the top seeds faced. Big named sides of Bayern / Juve / Celtic all at home. Just an ideal UCL run for first time in it with this new format.

All whilst we had that horrendous group last season, which I still won’t forgive club for tossing away Milan game when a draw and Europa would’ve been perfectly fine. But nope.

I dunno what it is but he’s properly gone so quickly down hill on comms.

Can’t remember which game it was but it was a recent one where I spent a while wondered who the numpty with the Scottish accent was and was genuinely surprised when I realized it was McCoist. He’d been terrible.
