Didn't know Coventry was so desperate/dumb that they had hired Frank Lampard  Win win no matter how this goes.

Now have a look at their record since he took over.

I think Frank Lampard is massively hard done by.

I have to admit to thinking the same until recently but he shouldn't be in the bracket of Gerrard and Rooney etc.

Whenever I watch Lampard talk, he's articulate, considered and interesting. He's also not so arrogant that he won't ply his trade in the championship.

Im far from suggesting that hes a great manager but he's shown he's well capable at this level, at the very least.

Tbf he's completely turned them around. Think they were 17th or something when he took over, done a hell of a job there. He's got a lot more about him than Gerrard or Rooney as a manager

6 months worth of results vs previous 5 years. Sure good point.

Why would Coventry care about that? This is his level and they probably know it. 'Risk' has worked so far.

Unless im mistaken, the Everton job is the only one which hasn't gone well.

Even at Chelsea, it was deemed a decent job given their transfer ban.

He's also got a track record of bringing in young players.

He also got Derby into the Play-offs, with a good squad admittedly, but he still did it.

Got Chelsea into the Champions League, while having a transfer ban, and integrating a lot of youth.

Got hired at Everton and accomplished the goal that was set for him when hired and kept them up.

Second time at Chelsea was a disaster no doubt, but he's hardly a shit manager, hi might not be a great one either, but he's shown at the very least he's Championship level, which is better than 99% out there.

Someone on talksport was saying those energy gels the plays squeeze into their gobs during the game, Anthony Patterson has a pie flavoured one

Derby got ruined by his failed promotion push. He played really naive football at Chelsea, almost like you'd imagine Steve Bruce would have. Everton had much higher expectations to him than saving their skin with one game left of the season. Shit. Manager.
