Just curious, because in Italy the question is very simple... do you hate Liverpool or Man Utd more, or maybe some cockney team? And why? I mean the team or their fans.

Just to clarify, there are only a handful of Cockney clubs. Four and arguably five are League teams. West Ham, Millwall, Leyton Orient and Charlton Athletic. Arsenal used to be Cockney but got jealous of Spurs in North London and ran away to make money. Spurs are borderline Cockney because our catchment area overlaps (my Dad and his family were Cockney).

Chelsea are very much not Cockney.

Yes, my mistake...for us Cockneys = Londoners.

Liverpool are much worse than Man Utd. The most offensive thing about Man Utd is their legion of glory hunting fans from all reaches of the country outside of Manchester whose reason for supporting Man Utd is usually something as flimsy as 'I once had to change trains at Manchester' or 'my uncles cousins twice removeds brother in law's bosses nephew is from Manchester'. There's plenty of fans like that for Liverpool too.

What tops it for me is their 'victim mentality', they act like it's them vs the world and they're constantly under siege from the evil British media where in fact every media outlet wants themselves silly over the 'Anfield noise' (which is essentially YNWA blasted over the PA system) and 'those legendary Anfield European atmospheres' which is a watered down version of a Celtic European night. I get the feeling that broadcasters are acutely aware that Liverpool fans are thin skinned and petty and their card will.be marked if they say something to offend them so they over compensate on complementing them.

Then there's all the other stuff, Heysel for example which I don't want to get into.

Close enough.

We called a man born in the West Midlands and raised in Buckinghamshire a Fat Cockney Bastard for 14 years.

You basically described the situation we have in Italy with Napoli fans. It's identical.

Regarding Heysel (I'm old enough to remember well), here we put more blame on the Belgian authorities than on the English fans. I remember that they were badly beaten in Rome the year before and probably didn't want it to happen again.

This is about Wrexham, I created a thread but it vanished, can I ask why?  Have I broke a rule?

Is this as far as it goes? Championship mid table mediocrity or yoyoing between the Championship and league 1? Deadpool and IOSIP money can only get you so far. Maybe Ryan could convince Marvel to sponsor them because they need big money from somewhere.

Any thoughts or interest in the Wrexham story or should I let it go? Ryan and Rob have definitely taken it seriously and they genuinely seem to care about rejuvenating the city, not just the team.

They've definitely missed a trick by not having Charlie Day in his blue suit as their mascot.

It's been a fun ride so far and I don't want it to end. From hearing them not have a clue about promotion and relegation to hearing Rob scream 'that's never fucking offside ref' has been a joy to behold.

I get that other fans will whinge about Hollywood money but boo hoo, that's life. I've supported a wee team my whole life and I dont begrudge them their success. I'd be over the moon if Danny De Vito and Wolverine wanted to transfer 'the sleeping giant' that is Dunfermline. Saying that, I'm currently happy with our new ambitious owner.

Ps I've also loved Newcastle since I was a slip of a lad. (A wee bit of English blood in me allows me to have 2 teams). Both play in near identical strips too.

That Elvis song the mackems sing really doesn't work for football matches does it.

They looked to be enjoying themselves. Probably the last bit of joy they have this season.

Looking ropey immediately. [emoji38]
