In four years we’ll be the perfect age. The midfield is really good base to build on but the lack of striker and the age of the centrebacks looks like a real problem, four years goes pretty fast. Edit. Have no idea about potential kids though. Edited December 3, 2022 by Pata

HaydnNUFC
Commiserations to our Yanks on here. Canny, young side there; had the Dutch rattled for a bit but really poor marking letting yous down.

midds
Dutch controlled that tbh. Content to let the US have it safe in the knowledge they wouldn't do too much damage. Always looked like they had a few more gears they could have used if it got close. Which it did. For 3 minutes.
Rafalove
With basically decent defending, composure, decision making, and passing accuracy. I think the U.S could have won that.
McDog
Congrats to the Dutch. Looks like I got to hang my hat on my second team tomorrow against Senegal.
54
Unlucky Americans, you played well this tournament and had some really good moments, you just need to a point where your premier striker isnt Josh Sargent, and to not be quite naive defensively as you have been especially today. But other then that, the future is bright for this team, you have a young core of players who will be there in 4 years time, and who all play for Champions League clubs, and will be better for this experience. Can see you challenging next time.
Deuce
Not a ton to be upset about tbh. Lost to a much better and more experienced team. LVG is a terrific manager.

HaydnNUFC
4 years and more or less a home tournament for the next World Cup, plenty reasons to be optimistic for the US. Edited December 3, 2022 by HaydnNUFC

Guest
Really want countries like Australia, USA, Canada, Japan, etc become genuine contenders at some point.
Deuce
Pulisic, Adams, McKennie, Musah, Aaronson, Reyna, Dest, Weah are all 24 or younger. Solid core for 2026. We’ve got some promising young defenders bouncing around Europe, hopefully a few step up in the next few years.
Deuce
Don’t hate the Dutch either, which makes the loss sting a lot less.

We need a centerback or two and a goal scorer, but we have a lot of talent.
