Yep with 69 points.  I think 6th might be as much as 67 points though.

Lovely stuff, I'm with you on that. Let's have it.

Even if Liverpool rotate tomorrow it will be possibly Curtis Jones, Elliott, Tsimikas, Nunez, Jota, Quansah, Chiesa etc, still should have enough to beat or draw with Chelsea. All possibly playing for their futures as Slot will probably spend this summer

Chelsea are a bit shit too. Liverpool rotation, if they’re sober and still in a tactical shape that’s seen them win the league, should be getting a result against Chelsea.

Can't see why Liverpool would rotate, like. They've no need to save legs

Give players an opportunity. Basically pre-season for them now.

Probably for the best as players will want to impress

Sure Slot will want as many of his squad to get a medal too. There's bound to be a few who are just away from the minimum appearances to qualify so I can understand why he's doing it. I'd still like to think they're professional enough to be a handful for Chelsea but it's not really any of our business, we just need to focus on our games and get the job done ourselves. Don't want to be relying on anyone else

The players who come in for Liverpool will want to prove they deserve their contract/minutes. Not too concerned.

Only people it would apply to are Chiesa (who needs one more), Jayden Danns, who I think is knackered anyway and Vitezslav Jaros (who needs four more).

I stand corrected :)

Its in our hands but were not going to get maximum points so fancy a result or two needs to go for us elsewhere too.

IF we miss out, and I don’t think we will we can look at our away form Vs the better sides. Pumped at Villa, Fulham and Brentford. Lost at Liverpool, Chelsea.  Away form has picked up generally but away against better sides needs to improve

I'd be looking a lot more sharply at our home form. Losses against West Ham, Brighton, Fulham and Bournemouth. Even a couple of draws would've radically lowered some people's pulses on here.

That west ham game in particular feels like it's to blame if we miss out

We’ve been class away, one of our best seasons. It’s losing 4 homes games to teams below us (8th downward) that’s been our biggest weakness.

Arguably the nadir of our season, although the game after where we drew 1-1 with Palace having had literally zero shots on goal, on or off target, is a strong competitor.

It's been a real season of two halves, and thankfully we're finishing on the upswing. The Bruno-Tonali switch and the decision to fully back Murphy over Barnes and Gordon on the right were big parts of saving our season.

Aye. You'd expect to lose away to the better sides. Losing at home to West Ham, Bournemouth, Brighton & Fulham though...even just 6 points from that bunch.

Yeah I agree with this ,7 of our 8 away wins have came against the bottom 7 teams with Forest being the only team in the entire top 13 we have won at. Whilst we have dropped some daft home points that's always going to happen and I would presume most of the other teams around us have done similar .

You've got to legislate for losing away games but its the unexpected ones or the freak one against the run of play that feel like its costs you.
