Sound like a broken record but Villa were always going to be a threat with the fixtures they had left, we win tomorrow and it shouldn't matter.  Anything less and we aren't finishing top 5.

When we do the anti-competition lawsuit, a few of these recent performances need to be included as evidence. Both Liverpool and Bournemouth have played worse than ever before when we need them to actually try.

Include Fulham in that. They can't wait to gift Man City 3 aswell.

With Villa result, game tomorrow is now not must lose, but raised to now must win. Even a draw would most likely need to mean we need to win the last two games if we don't win

Just a shite thing that happens every year when teams have nothing to play for. Can't do anything about it.

It always has been a must win.

Think we can safely say Villa are winning their last 2 as well. We absolutely have to win tomorrow, but that was always the case tbf. Fucking hell. I love that we're in this position, but it ain't half stressful

Bournemouth have a European position that they are going for.

Incredibly annoying that we’ve taken 2 points from 6 games against Fulham, Brighton and Bournemouth, like. All beat us at home too. Comes down, mainly, to our midfield three simply not having enough about them to break teams down through the middle. I’m sure it will be looked at in the summer but it’s frustrating for this season, as much as I’m OK with us finishing 6th if we can somehow keep Isak.

True, Liverpool totally bent over for Chelsea last week though.

The equation hasn't changed for the last month or so - win the home games and get a point away. We got the point at Brighton and we still need to beat Chelsea and Everton. The complications some people are bringing into things is now borderline ridiculous - we're on track but tomorrow is must-win. If we fuck it up tomorrow afternoon then we're in the lap of the gods - do the business then we're looking good. All favours from other clubs are welcome but we need to win those 2 home games and we always did

Hasn't half felt like some of the timing of the fixtures has conspired against us. Everybody seems to be playing teams on the beach.

Agreed. Everton have eff all to play for last game of the season though and Arsenal look like they’ve been on the beach in the PL for a while.

Villa having Spurs and Man Utd last two takes the biscuit, although they'd have probably beaten them anyway.

Chelsea getting to play Liverpool the week after they've won the league was particularly irritating though.

Christ man if Spurs & Man Utd had’ve been playing for a European spot we would’ve all been buzzing that Villa still had to play them.

DM isn't the kind of manager to stand for players downing tools in for them, dead rubbers. Everton will give us a game, make no mistake.

We've got Arsenal (who we've beaten I think three times this season already) and Everton with nothing to play for.

It could have been Arsenal chasing the title and Everton in a relegation battle.

If we don't do it, we've really only got ourselves to blame and if we want to be the 3rd/4th/5th best team in the country we can't be relying on other teams and complaining that things aren't fair if the results don't go the way we want.

Think we can consider it a given now that Villa will get 69 points. It's going to be tight.

Man Utd away last day isn’t a given
