The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

Recommended Posts

Been here all week talking about how we need to win and will. And we did.

Never wavered.

Big games. Eddie and the boys get the job done.

Free swing against Arsenal, could get it done there. We’ll beat Everton to secure CL.

Forest are obviously going to beat Leicester so we can now just hope Arsenal lose today and we go into next weekend with a chance to overtake them and basically seal Top 5.

Another win or a slip up from Villa and we're basically there due to our goal difference, given that Forest and Chelsea have to play each other. Have a feeling it'll come down to that Everton game though.

If we finish second, I presume we get a more favourable Champions League group?

Is it better for us if Arsenal actually seal CL today?

We would probably have an easier game.

Dunno.  Them faltering is goood. Them being on the beach is also good.  &nbsp

Ultimately the Arsenal game is a free swing imo.

I’m not sure. If they lose today, then the pressure will be on and I think the fans could get on the players backs - lose today, then to us next week and City win and suddenly they are 4th

Oh, I imagine there will be some legacy uefa coefficient something that will take precedence.

Natch. Extra money and the leg up of protectionist history.

Still need to beat Everton but aye, a lot hinged on today.

We beat Chelsea, swung the GD by four + now they're without a striker.

Hope Jackson will be suspended for their conference league final.

Park the bus against Arsenal next week. 0-0 please.

Fuck that. We've not been this close to finishing second since 1997.

Before anyone gets their hopes up. I'm going to the Everton game. Current record is 6 draws and Bournemouth (last game I attended)

Off to Europe we go :)

Hopefully results next weekend fall for us and it’s a party atmosphere last game with it already wrapped up, but doesn’t matter.

One home win from champions league, happy days.

The Newcastle fan in me will still fear a Pickford MOM performance and DCL header in a 1-0 defeat :|
