We've kept it in our own hands, which is all you can ask really. On a side note, that point at Brighton is looking very decent. Let myself get my hopes up when I saw Man U had a 'strong' line up, even more so when it was approaching the final phase of the game. I'll never learn. Benwell Lad
Being unable to bet on us not qualifying as it's not offered (only the 1/14 on qualifying), what's the best way to cover or perm not qualifying using the top 5 finish odds ?

I guess that’s saying something that the bookies are not offering the bet. Probably bet everyone else winning their games and/or finishing in the top 5. Dont really think there is a good way. Too many possible combinations. Better to just bet on the individual remaining games.

Villa are 9/2 and Forest 66/1. If we don’t make CL, one of them is coming in.

Villa getting into UCL from the position they were in would've been highly impressive if it weren't for the fact that Spurs and Man U are the games that will get them there. Lucky as fuck. The other, notable, teams in that EL need shot with shit. It's utter utter bullshit. Needs to be an emergency rule of "if man utd or spurs win the EL then they don't qualify for Europe also we retire this competition because the final being played by 16th vs 17th brings the whole thing into disrepute". Stottie
Breaking the trophy drought, by beating all of the top four, and Europa League is a brilliant season. CL is likely, will add more joy, and propel us further as a club, but that does not mean the lads don't deserve some "we're in Europa or better" appreciation if/when then gets confirmed first. Stottie
CL for fifth now, and CL for winning the Europa which for the first time has no CL teams dropping into it has shaken things up. It all feels weird. fwiw, if we hadn't been dumped in a group of death and denied in Paris by that handball call, and Man U hadn't been hopeless in an easy group, the England coefficient would have been better and Spurs would have had a much better chance of getting CL last season for finishing fifth. It looks like 19/20 and 23/24 were the only recent seasons where English clubs weren't in the top two countries. https://www.uefa.com/nationalassociations/uefarankings/country/?year=2025

Not sure about that. Bournemouth have pretty fucking great away stats. 7-7-4, 4th best. The game is also just 3 days after the FA Cup final. NUFCDoog
Nice to have a big match to watch where I'm not too fussed about the outcome. It's proper stressful between watching us and then hate watching the other sides, and we've still got tomorrow, Wednesday night, next Saturday and next Sunday to come so this is a bit of buffer. Think it's why the enjoyed the league 1 and 2 play off games as well. Anyway, would rather Palace win as it's just something different and City don't need or deserve another trophy, but I certainly wouldn't be pissed off if City do win, never really minded them as a club and though they've got lost in all the tourist rubbish since the moneh came rolling, they do have some proper core fans that do have stuff in common with us.
