The table since the day before we beat Leicester in December:

We are good side.

Actually it's usually the opposite, but this board and fanbase in general i'd wager is still recovering from the Ashley era trauma [emoji38] Almost everything I see is thinking of the worst possible outcomes despite the fact the team seems to be quite fkn good.

Idk i don't watch football anymore, i just read this board from time to time so it seems like they're good to me.

I said a few weeks ago that this side has never really let us down by bottling big games. They sometimes get beat but never through a lack of bollocks.

Gonna be tough for other teams next year when we add 3/4 quality players.

When including the cups its 21-1-6.

21 wins in 28 games..

Scary good. Mown down all of the relegation fodder and generally held outfought and outthought our Top 6 peers. Now to solve the pesky south coast cuckold clubs problem for next year…

We didn’t need anything against Villa which is why it will be in our hands in GW38 no matter what happens next week.

Everton are still shit.

You do know I want to be 100% wrong on this occasion [emoji38]

Just feel there’s a big twist on that last day. Hopefully not detrimental to us 🤞🏻

I’m fearful still. Always said we needed not to lose against Villa and not changed my mind.

Can see Man City, Chelsea and Villa winning both their last two games.

Arsenal will be desperate for revenge and then we have inform Everton with Pickford in goal

You assuming we lose to Arsenal?

Yep.

I've got no reason to think we won't beat 1 of Arsenal or Everton. We should win and qualify for the CL.

And this is with a fair few injuries now.

As you say, if we get CL, we could add 2-4 players to take us to another level. We'll have had 2 seasons on 69-71 points and another 60-point season. Add another 2-4 quality players and we could be a 75-85 point team or a 70-80 point team + a deep CL run. That's another level from where we are and I think it keeps the Tonali's and Isak's long-term where we can add more of them. Could we start doubling our Saudi-sponsorship deals? And it helps keep the Saudi's super engaged.

If Villa gets CL, they can continue to wheel and deal and keep a similar squad level. If they can maintain this level of squad, they have the potential to be an 80-point side. That is why I hope they miss out and need a selling summer.

I think we will. Hope I’m wrong. Even a draw doesn’t make much difference does it (?)

We just haven't been that side. We aren't that side.

It's Chelsea and Forest that have been the poorest over the last 20 GW's or so and I think are most likely to have a twist go against them. Villa have been brilliant and have 2 of the best matches coming up. I expect Man U to win the Europa, so will have a hangover on the last day.... and they are shit. It's all coming up Villa.

Nah it doesn't. It would be good for momentum though. I reckon we get a draw.

I think the players are in line for massive bonuses if they qualify for the CL too. We get it done against Everton man, at the worst.

Surely one of spurs or man u eventually show some kind of pride and get at least a point (against villa or chelsea) before the end of the season

Man U last day of the season.

But win or lose the Europa I can't see them turning up. Forget it. Villa 69 points.

nil chance, Villa are in. We just have to handle business, all in our hands.

Trying to guess who will be where in what pots depending on sides qualifying domestically / navigating play offs. 8 group games looking like (due to 6 English sides, one will be drawn another):

Real Madrid (H), Liverpool (A), Atletico Madrid (A), Atalanta (H), Club Brugge (H), Ajax (A), Napoli (A), Marseille (H)

Be a 'group of death' style again for us :D

I think Forest are gone.

I can’t see us beating Arsenal, if we do, bonus.

I can see Chelsea and Villa winning both their last two games, which means 69 points. Anything different, bonus, especially if it’s Villa.

Which means we need 69 points, a win on the last day against Everton to knock Villa out on goal difference.

Its what I think will happen.

Don't want to tempt fate but It's done as dusted now as far as I am concerned , winning yesterday sealed it. Everton will be awkward but we are a much better team and no way will we throw away champions league on the final day by not beating them .

Everton is exactly the kind of banana skin that requires focus and a top performance. More concerned about that than Arsenal personally.

Like us going into the CC final on some rocky form, we put in a decent grafting performance against West Ham before rather than rest players for the final. We needed to get the momentum before the final and I hope Spurs can do that against Villa and grab at least a point. I think the man united game against Villa after the final will be a dead rubber and villa win it if they need to.
