Instead we won and took a European place that is no longer available to the chasing pack. albeit with a difference in prize money, we don’t have to look over our shoulder any more, we can only go so far backwards. That would be a great competition to have a real go at and some fun sides. whereas realistically in the CL you might get some great games but ultimately are only in it to make up the numbers, until Real inevitably win it. It think it would take English teams losing all their games from now on, and the Italians winning as many games as possible, including potentially winning each cup competition.
