Menace
Just reduced his asking price by ten million with that article. Can't wait to see the back of this twat personally. Really don't like him.

Always makes me laugh when a player claims to have outgrown a club after putting in bang average performances for an extended period of time. If he'd scored more than 5/6 goals from open play in the last couple of seasons we'd probably be right up there. Be accountable you prick

He hasn’t just pulled out because he didn’t fancy it. Whether he’s been deemed for enough a week later to play for Italy from that scan is irrelevant. Regardless if that was Gordon in same position and played for England a few days later he would of got a load of stick. Again with Tonali his agent comes out touting a move on a few occasions mentioning Man City etc yet and one article and Gordon and it sparks uproar. I like Tonali and obviously want him to stay but no one can't deny that Gordon seems to get far more stick than other players.

kingxlnc
Given Howe likes to give new players half a season to learn his system before starting them regularly we may have to get used to Ashby or Shahar being our starting right back next season
samptime29
The amount of abuse he gets on here is insane. Have we always been this negative/whiny as a fanbase?
SteV
If it’s true he wants away, then it’s almost certainly the right thing to do to move him on. However the fans that are desperate to see the back of him will soon realise we’ll miss him substantially.
Geogaddi
He's been bang average for the last two years ever since that move to Liverpool fell through . No coincidence all his best games have been against them farmers we played in the champions league group games . Comes across as a right twat as well, good riddance . Kid Icarus
The idea that he's outgrown us is hilarious like. He got into the England setup off the back of an excellent 23/24 and has then been shite for the best part of 2 years, with a huge amount of slack given until recently. It was very much a case of him having his last chance to buck his ideas up next season or we'd need an upgrade. Definitely one that wouldn't sting to see leave. Outside of kneejerk in match threads does he get abuse or do people have an option he's over rated or aren't keen on players taking a year off becuase his head was turned? 1 minute ago, SteV said: If it’s true he wants away, then it’s almost certainly the right thing to do to move him on. Kid Icarus
Gordon has been given more rope than any other player I can remember, it was only this season that he started getting criticised despite being poor for 18 months up until then. He's improved in the last 6 months but the same problem with inconsistency is still there.
Abacus
If he wants away, then I say let him go for the right fee. Very much a confidence and attitude player. I don't think he's a solution as a striker, but was and is an acceptable makeshift one, which isn't the same thing as a solution. On his day on the left he can be excellent and is sometimes our only real threat, but I don't think there's as much end productivity when at left wing either. So whilst I'd rather he stayed I wouldn't be all that fussed if he went and was properly replaced.

Great player on his day, but his days are few and far between. He's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is or as the media/neutral fans make him out to be, I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if he goes.

I don't give a toss if he's mates with Isak, a simple text saying "good luck mate" is his business Doing that when that twat dragged the club through mud all summer - he can fuck off and join him. Pilko
Won't be able to pad his stats with pens if he moves to the big boy teams. He'll be shown up as the limited, occasionally good player he is.
Abacus
It would be interesting if he left and we had a more productive left winger as to what that would mean for striker options, or indeed whether it could bring out more in, say, Woltemade.

The other side of the coin is the amount of times he's absolutely phoned it in.
Lush Vlad
Partridge shrug. He’s had a couple of quieter games. But he’s mostly been really good since moving up top. I thought he was pathetic on Sunday back on the left. Most of our players were, TBF. It was yet another game against an aggressive, athletic defender where he didn’t fancy it. If we are going to try and only sign athletes and play on the counter when we can or create chances almost purely off pressing. Then we will massively miss him. If we want to evolve as a team and play an actual striker up front and players with more ability on the wings. Then I don’t think we will. He won me round when he was our player of the season by a street. Hard to forget how good he was. I think he was then average to poor, with the odd great game, for quite a long period of time. I always thought there was a big gap for what he now gets paid and the position he has within the team. Versus what he actually delivers.
Heron
Gordon will apply himself at his new club and have a good first season then as soon as things don't go his way he'll revert to type I.e. getting in his own head, thinking he's elite when he isn't (by footballer standards), blaming others, kicking off, not tracking back, being greedy, etc. You can count on one hand Gordon's "Good" games this last year (from the Carabao Cup Final) to now. He's by and large been average to poor. Edited April 16 by Heron
