Honestly found the idea that he's outgrown us hilarious. He's delusional and he's lucky he's at a club trying to climb the ladder rather than an established elite club because he'll soon get found out for how bang average he is. It was only earlier this season Harvey Barnes was keeping him out of the team.

The guy is now looking to leave, like so many of you wanted, and is going to get a decent fee.

 

Time for both sides to move on. Team needs a big refresh anyway, as it's all gone a bit stale.

 

Would ship out Tonali and Tino too. The money brought in from all three could do a ton of good for the squad on the whole.

The worst bit of managing this (for me) was that Barnes was in a groove on the left then shunted to the right to allow AG to come in and then his output slowed.

Then Barnes started to look dangerous on the right and delivering output so Howe shoves him back left to put AG up front. Then AG starts looking dangerous up top and he decides to drop Barnes to move AG back left and bring Osula in

He will end up getting injured instead knowing this club.

 

Any sales should be done prior to the World Cup or next season will be a disaster.

 

Will only be a month after the World Cup ends before the Premier League kicks off.

 

Will need the money available early so they can plan for the summer recruitment.

Dare I say it - it felt like Cisse / Ba under a previous manager, who is not to be compared to the present man in the dug out …

Don't blame him, its flat as fuck here now. Done a fine job for us over the piece but there's few I'd miss now provided we get the right money.

 

Cant see the summer and ultimately next season being much fun. We've already got the World Cup in the way with players and clubs will want to hang on until after the shop window shuts, us included in the sales area.

Agree, and I think the club has already reached the same conclusion. We need to move on unhappy players and replace while we can get peak value.

 

I really rate Gordon as well, he's got a top players mentality. But once we have a failed season, players will take that opportunity to move up and onwards. We just have to deal with it better than we did last summer.

TBH - I don't really prescribe to any player taking this attitude. You play where your manager tells you to play and you do the best you possibly can. If you try your best and you fail that's on the manager. See Dan Burn at Left Back.

Barnes was actually playing well on the right when he was moved there, but people were still kicking off, and he actually fell out of form once he was then moved back to the left when Gordon went upfront.

Players should maybe consider how they've contributed to said failed season as well and take some responsibility.

It's easier to do that with lesser players though. I'm sure you could tell Jacob Murphy to put the goalies gloves on and he'd do it. We'd still be a shit side with 11 Jacob Murphys.

I’ll have to put my hands up and say that for at least a season or so I thought playing BDB at LB was the right call  

 

In terms of the Ba / Cisse comparison, it’s more the shuffling about to accommodate and seeing at least one of the players losing form.  I agree that you play where you’re asked and give everything you can.

Yep agree all three should go to help fund a rebuild.

It will be interesting to see if this is the case.

 

Quite honestly, I'd drop everyone that is looking like they'll be moving on. So Gordon, Tonali and Tino.

 

The season is pretty much done and it's so boring watching the same crap performances.

 

It's why I actually liked that he started Osula last week, and that he delivered. Put Woltemade up there with him the remainder of the way and try something different for goodness sake.

 

Joelinton and Bruno will be out and so Tonali will have to play this week I guess, but once they return, then no more Tonali either. Lets see Miley back at right back  for the remainder, where he was doing well previously and Tino can sit as well.

I see a potential Jamie Vardy in there if persevered with as a striker, but if he wants more money now, and we can bank a big profit, then needs must.

 

I would screw our PSR to keep Bruno or Hall but Gordon is free to go. The Isak saga and his subsequent season have desensitized me to selling players. The main thing is to plan for every departure.

Had the same goals and assists as Gordon last season.

 

I don't think Gordon has shown enough to prove he is the first name on the sheet in his chosen position tbh.
