Luke Edwards, for all we give him shit (and rightly so) isn't going to publish such an article without at least a bit of substance from the club. If Gordon's camp is making those noises then the writing is on the wall, frankly the only thing that interests me now is that we've learnt our lesson from last summer and have our ducks in a row so we can get an adequate replacement in for him before letting him go. A few seasons back I would be gutted if he left, but I don't share the same notion now. His more recent form has been better, but I genuinely think this papers over a few cracks regarding how average he has been and obviously the penalty contribution also does a job at this. The fact that he has been our best winger as of late is more about our lack of quality wingers. If we get good money for him I couldn't care less. I would love to see this summer being about ruthlessly cutting out every single piece of uncommitted half assed bullshit from the club.
