Anderson is over £100m though...

I don't get how that works. 🤣

Because we're shit at selling players (and currently shit at signing them as well)

There is no advantage in selling before it unless the offer is too good to turn down. I've so far not seen that. £83m and I'll pack his bags and drive him to the airport myself. If he's worth £70m now, he's worth £70m after the WC. If he's inured, he'll still be worth £70m in 2027. It's a very basic fee considering £50m of that went/will go to Everton.

Everton have a 75% sell on clause?!

Why the fuck did we agree to that!

Do you not think everyone involved wants this sorted before the WC? Waiting another 2 months will not help us one bit when we’re scrambling about to find his replacement. Then you’ll be the first complaining that we’re shit at signing players and should have sorted it earlier no doubt.

Sell sell sell!! Amazing fee if true.

Wonder what they'll think of him after 6 months when he does nothing  and looks uninterested against Elche and Osasuna but suddenly seems up for it against Real Madrid and in the CL..

Doesn't stop us signing players. In fact, signing the replacement first puts us in a better position.

So what you’re saying is if they don’t increase their offer before the World Cup and we sit tight till after the World Cup we might get more than the current offer ?

Cogito ergo sum, he’ll be worth more after the World Cup ? Which is what I said you said but you said you didn’t say ya dafty.

And I said the risk with not accepting an offer that we consider acceptable pre-World Cup is he snaps his banjo string playing for England and we can’t sell him. And we’re left with an injured player who wanted to leave.

I’m really not sure what you’re disagreeing with me about.

So what’s happens if we spend £50 million on a replacement only for him to do his snap his leg at the WC and be out for 9 months?

Sooner we get some dosh in and start moving forward the better. Bout time we got a transfer window spot on and had a team fit, ready and raring to go as soon as a ball is kicked.

Then we're fucked.

But what happens if this happens to a player we sign after the world cup in preseason training.

We are again fucked.

That's why it's a squad game.

No, you alluded to me saying he would be worth more after the WC, which would insinuate performances dictate. 'Worth more' was your comment. I never said that. I just said hold out and stop making up scenarios, which you did with injury comments. 😂 He's still going to be worth £70m before, during or after the WC, it's not a great fee to accept right now.

Or we hold out to get the best deal for us and stop making up scenarios in our head. 😂

We need to be good sellers. Something we've never got right. Starts now. Let's grt £80m or some players chucked in to lessen what we have to pay everton.

Personally think this would be exactly us being good sellers tbh.

That gives Eddie enough money to buy two more Yoane Wissas!

I would love a striker who scored 20 goals the season before.

Just not the one who does his ACL before he plays for us

Aye we need a proper window this time.

Personally no grudges with him. Think we will miss him and people will realise pretty fast too, unless we absolutely hit on his replacement.

However I think he holds a higher opinion of himself than he warrants in reality, though the fact he may well be England’s starting LW and has Bayern + Barcelona sniffing probably means the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Please don’t spaff the money on someone like Jaidon Anthony for everyone’s sake

Well we’ll be about £30-£40 million better off for a start! (Assuming we don’t blow the lot on one player)

There’s no decent argument for waiting until after the WC if there’s decent money on the table now.
