Said in the other thread and feel like  on repeat for over a year now but it baffles me how Barnes is always either benched or shunted to the right for Gordon. Gordon has done nothing in two years to lay claim to that spot. Scoring penalties doesn't sound if you haven't scored or assisted from open play in nearly a year in the league. 

 

The fact we don't even swap them over mid game when we are chasing a goal is even stranger. Barnes is probably our biggest threat of a goal outside the strikers and even if he's quiet he is capable. I have no confidence in Gordon scoring goals from open play. He's all fart and no shit.

I for one am shocked that last week was a flash in the pan and he reverted to his ineffective shit true self, I totally didn't expect that to happen at all.

 

The continual selection of this gimp from the manager is an absolute fucking disgrace, especially when you consider how well Barnes has done when he actually got a run in the side.

Quite a sorry state of affairs isn’t it. Gordon is suppose to be one of the Crown Jewels, but on this season he’s 100% cash in. But then we’ve got a fucking dud in Elanga as another winger, mixed in with Barnes 2 years left and Murphy 1 year left. 
 

Should’ve been only one replacement needed in 2026, but it’s going to be multiple needed. Like the CB situation. 
 

Ideally he comes good again because it’s a mess it not.

He missed a couple of simple passes and did badly with a couple of efforts, ultimately earning his performance a thumbs down, but it's a shame because I thought a lot of what he did was pretty positive. He and Hall linked well and he was trouble down their right-hand-side throughout the second half. End product was infuriatingly shite but don't agree about a lack of application or phoning it in, thought he tried hard to make things happen for us. 

 

I'm generally quite forgiving of Gordon but definitely starting to think it could be in everyone's best interests if we could find a buyer. It'll be annoying seeing him tear it up for someone else, mind.

Good summary. His build up play was often good, but his end product was just awful.

Was mad. The thing we lacked today was efficiency and shooting ability. Exactly what Barnes on the left could have given us. Without him we're not going to be efficient with our chances.

Just like the Chelsea game he had chances today that a 'top' player as he'll claim to be, would bury.

 

He's not up to it. We were supposed to find the upgrade on Miggy on the right and we didn't, and we are playing our worst option on the last too.

 

We've missed our chance to cash in on Gordon now, nobody would even pay would we paid for him at that minute.

I know he can't say the opposite, but I genuinely believe he thinks that. He falls over himself to get him in the side despite his complete lack of effort and virtually zero output for nearly a year now.
