Gordon has bags of everything, pace, intelligence, technique, finishing.

I think sometimes being so thoughtful and self aware isn’t good for him, maybe leads to him dwelling on things and being critical.

Hopefully he can come back firing next season because at his best he’s a really top player.

Hes a great player for sure, not convinced he’s a great finisher mind, still work needed there for me.

He’s not been the same player since his Liverpool  move fell through - attitude has been terrible for months

Didn’t he give an interview when he basically admitted as much about his form at the start of the season?

I don't particularly want to sell him, I think he's great, but I think of all our players he's the one you could sell for big money and it'd hurt the team less. There's several wingers of an excellent standard you could buy for less than we sold him for.

I'm not sure where I stand on him, he's been off it this season though for large parts. The intensity is lower and he doesn't seem focused.

Hopefully Eddie can get him back on track, we just need another win and we are good.

There’s no doubt he’s off form, which for me is a combination of heads gone from the red card but then the hip injury. Not been settled since and it’s seemingly impacted him more than it should.

Players have off form, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Gordon is too in the camp of playing through pain, as we’ve with Isak and others this season.

He’s still a hugely important player, especially the type of winger we need as we challenge the top end and need ball retention high up the pitch / in tight spaces.

Massive overreactions in this thread. We’re told there aren’t PSR issues this summer so why sell? Because he’s had a dip this season?

His performances and goals against Arsenal twice in the league cup were crucial. He’s a good player and will have a great year next season.

Whenever they lose a game a load of people go totally overboard

We have 14-15 players who I reckon are CL players. The depth is pretty poor. We could probably get to 17-18 this summer without a sale as it is, but he plays in a position where there's a lot of talent for £15-20m less than we could sell him for, meaning we could get a few more in. Could be the difference between a top 4 challenge and title challenge.

Would not be surprised in the least if he moves on during transfer window, seems to have these spells of brilliance for a code of seasons before he hits wall, I think he's at the wall now, gets bought and goes on another 2 Yr spell with elsewhere.

No-one is offering £90m when Eze is £55m. But then if people melt themselves over body language, they’d be in a coma within a few months with Eze.

It's why I think if we can get £70-80m for Gordon we'll take it. There's a bracket of players like Cunha, Semenyo, Eze, etc in the £50-60m bracket where you get a very good replacement and money for wages/fees elsewhere. Trying to do similar for Bruno, Tonali, Isak would be a helluva lot harder.
