Ever since we moved Joelinton out of the middle. You need pace and a threat on both wings, possibly why Almirons goals have dried up of late, ASM provides the threat on the left, and gives sides too much to think about. Pre world cup we looked more dangerous, post world cup we look slightly tighter and organised without the same threat.

I pretty much said this in the thread that got locked

Yet, we have still had a number of clear cut chances to be 3-0 up

That's the thing we just seem to be stuck in 3rd gear once we get in the box since the game on boxing day.

The lack of shooting ability from our midfield and wingers has shown recently. All do well to get the ball and themselves in to the final third but they all lack real shooting ability, couple that with a slowish looking Wilson for the past few weeks and we get what we've got. Sure our shots on target percentage must be like 30% or less recently.

I miss Eddie's free scoring mags

The 92-93 promotion season with KK had a similar patch around the same time of the season - we went four matches without scoring and only scored in ‘1s’ before that despite racking up loads previously.  Keegan’s way to resolve the issue was signing Andy Cole. Fucking well worked, too :)
