Could be.

Or, that we're supporting anyone who wants to push that arbitrary boundary.

Or, that we've got a transfer target in mind and want to break it.

Or, that we want Villa's support in future votes.

Or, that it's completely made up.

Just for sake of arguement, if we were to spend a billion building a new stadium would the cost of it count against FFP?

I see Chelsea are buying another Brazilian lad for circa £50 million.

It’s literally beyond a joke what they are doing - having free reign

I thought UEFA banned clubs for financial irregularities?

Aren’t academy signings exempt from PSR/FFP calculations?

No I don't think so.

The day-to-day running costs of the Academy would be but not player fees, wages etc.

Interesting seeing the relegation odds for next season, the likes of Arsenal around 2000/1, Man City only 33/1, presumably the bookies covering their backs a bit just in case the PL throws the book at them.

Us being at 150/1 is a pleasant change from the Ashley years.

Throw in the fact that it would be kind of embarrassing diplomatically to an ally and trading partner (someone who's invested probably billions in the country) that they've cheated and should be stripped of titles and punished severely within the sport.

My god Man City are boring

I want to resent them, but then see who'd have won the league in their absence and all it'd have meant was another 2-3 titles each for Man U, Arsenal & Liverpool and it'd just mean FFP got exactly what they intended. Yay.
