Anderson has needed first team football to develop into the player he's now looking. A few sub appearances for us doesn't see him improve.

Agreed. It’s been an excellent move for him. Happy for him.

We got the worst deal of all the FFP shenanigans by far.  Sold our 2 brightest youngsters for decent to bad fees. Poor prep but we also don’t have a saleable squad.

Miley needs first team football too. I would send him out on loan and get in a cheap cover player like Villa did with Barkley + a first teamer like they did with Onana.  Gives us 5 good options for 3 positions and allows Miley to get regular playing time. Include a recall in January.

Deffo agree on the loan

Would you sell 1 or both of Longstaff and Willock in this instance? As we'd have too many CM's doing this

Anderson's's sale and subsequent success at Forest, rather than sitting on the bench with us, is arguably a demonstration of FFP working successfully.

I'm sure the so called Big 6 have better players sitting on the bench so that's not much of an argument for FFP

There's absolutely zero chance he would've made CM his own. Zero.

Ahead of Bruno or Tonali? Maybees the odd game on the left but he doesn't want to play LM.

Forest play an entirely different style of football and it suits him to a tee.

Tonali was banned all last season and Joelinton missed chunks. It’s easy to forget how many games he was starting LCM before he got injured early in season, and was probably part of Ashworth thinking at the time of not being sold on giving Joelinton a new deal.

I wonder if we get champions league we will finally announce some of those lacking sponsorship areas such as training ground and training kit to boost the kitty more.

Has been debated already about how slow it's been and if that's been lack of europe or market conditions or the man city challenges. However for me we are going to have to continue to invest heavily and have an aging squad in certain areas wait too long and you start looking at barnes/bruno/big joe also heading to 30 and seeing their value diminish as they get older.

Obviously this is obvious but in theory even when you have a great starting 11 the investment is continuous as even your good players age out just need to ensure your not having to do major surgery every summer as its not possible in a psr world.

Nah the trading academy players has basically ended ffp tbh

Wasn’t clear, sorry.

I think we’re in a good position for this summer.

I was hoping more other teams wouldn’t be.

If we finish in the CL spots on the back of a cup win, selling Anderson and Minteh was a master stroke versus the alternative.

FFP and PSR are making football worse not better. It’s nearly impossible to compete in your domestic league and Europe and have a squad to cope with the demands unless you are one of the handful of clubs with massive revenue. I wish we would just start cooking the books.

Wish we had Sir John's sporting club to sell off. Rugby, ice hockey, basketball, petanque teams.

But its just daft that clubs that dont need money are having to go on like they need to sell everything not nailed down just to get through another season.

Can't we sell the rights to Local Hero (quick call with MK beforehand to agree ownership) ? Global rights would be at least 8 billion. Straight on the top line. Job done. Then franchise Blaydon Races globally. I should call Chelsea for some consultancy

Chelsea being dodgy cunts again shocker. Some story about historical agent payments again.

They are yet to be punished for breaches commited during the Previous owners regime. People seem to get a press pass because they self reported.

Seen after our match on MOTD they discussed the three relegated teams pitiful showing.

PSR is a massive contributer to that but wasn't addressed. Newly promoted teams begin with a worse team, worse squad, less income and less ability to spend than the next worse Premier League team (West Ham, Man United and Spurs) when the one thing that can make up the difference is banned.

The one virtue of PSR being that it prevents clubs 'doing a Leeds' it means no club is going to get into a situation where a newly promoted club can overhaul them. Envisage very little fluctuation unless something changes.

People haven't really caught on to the gap that has grown. I said recently to a group of people that the clubs trying to create a mid-table moat around them like Fulham, Brighton, Brentford, Palace, etc. are arguably as big a problem as the ones at the top and they all thought I was crazy. The fact they are all southern clubs makes it worse too. Pulling the drawbridge up on clubs with long histories like Leeds, Sunderland, the Sheffield clubs, West Brom, etc. feels especially wrong.

Most of these pundits are too lazy to put any time into researching things like

this. Only when it’s the footballing zeitgeist will they bother to bring it up. And only then as sensationalised phone in for thick cunts.
