really looks to me like he should be a number 10, or at least an 8/10 hybrid like a Maddison etc. Has such a good eye for the final ball and the technique to play it too. Could work alongside Brunali as well tbf.

Can’t afford not to renew Longstaff imo. Not with so many other holes to fill already and a FFP limited budget.

If you reckon we're OK for that without Longstaff then fair enough, but there's good value in just being academy-produced.

 

(Miley won't count towards any of that as he's U21 and won't take up a squad place)

 

So despite how much it'll make people's heads explode on here, I reckon the club will try hard to keep Longstaff.

Another reason I was shocked we let Anderson go. Low key would have preferred to lose Willock. Just don't have confidence he will ever be fit enough, long enough.

don’t think we had a choice? Nobody was bidding for Willock and with the PSR deadline fast approaching there were only offers on the table for Anderson & Minteh?
