Wandy Posted Monday at 16:10 Share Posted Monday at 16:10 Looking around the various Scouse social media and they are pretty unanimously praising our support yesterday. They seem impressed with the fact that everyone wore the colours and that the scarfs looked great too. They seem pretty envious of that nature of our support actually. Fair do's that they have taken the defeat well too. But when you win everything over and over again it's probably easy to be magnanimous on the odd occasion when things don't go your way. Lush Vlad Posted Monday at 16:30 Share Posted Monday at 16:30 (edited) Neville said something about never feeling/hearing Wembley like this. Seb Hutchinson I think is his name. He said after Isak’s disallowed goal against Arsenal. He had never been in a stadium that loud. When we get it right. We get it so right. I know game state and the performance play a massive part. But it makes it all the more infuriating when we get poor away ends and morgue like home games fairly often. The celebrations sounded LOUD for the goals and full time. Adam Posted Monday at 17:07 Share Posted Monday at 17:07 Different universe from 2023. Last time loads of folks just happy to be there, everyone sitting in the top deck. Yesterday, everyone was there to win, all standing, all singing. My ears were still ringing this morning it was that loud. Just constant songs, one would finish someone pipes up with the next one. Was a few times we'd be singing and you'd hear the lower tier signing ahead of you, everyone would pause for a split second then seamlessly follow along with what was being sung. Different experience from SJP as the noise isn't coming from all around but we outclasses Liverpool in every aspect. Our song book could always do with some new songs but we've got far more that L'pool for example. Challenge now is to get people organised at SJP, or just let more people stand up! Lush Vlad Posted Monday at 17:11 Share Posted Monday at 17:11 I wonder if there is anything in all of the social media stuff and the club and players asking for an atmosphere. Almost like it sparks people into life and it genuinely works.
Superior Acuña Posted Monday at 17:14 Share Posted Monday at 17:14 Tbf to Liverpool I think they were sometimes making a noise and we just couldn't hear it at our end, cos we could hear ourselves drowning them out. In one of the highlights clips they were quite loudly singing Steve Gerard's song and I didn't hear that at all in the ground.

Hopefully with winning comes new songs, but think one of the most powerful moments yesterday was in the 2nd half when ‘sing your hearts out for the lads’ was getting belted out. jonnynufc
I went into the final with virtually no expectation for atmosphere. Can't describe how gutted I was about the previous cup final. I had been conditioned to expect defeat on the pitch, but couldn't believe the silence that came from our end for the majority of the game. After the recent away games at man city/Liverpool too, which were without doubt the worst away support I've seen from us in my lifetime, I was fearing the worst. But wow, I couldn't have been more wrong. Our fans did us proud on Sunday. Everyone standing no doubt made a huge difference. Our whole lower tier was stood (as they mainly were last time tbf), but this time round the whole upper tier was stood too, with the exception of maybe a few hundred at the very front of the blocks close to the halfway line on each side. Hell there were even a fair few in the prawn sarnie seats in the middle tier (club wembley??) stood making a racket all game! There was plenty of noise coming from our end, and even when songs died down it was just a constant roar getting behind the lads. Acoustics are horrific at Wembley, and there were plenty of times I could see the whole upper tier arms aloft singing their hearts out and couldn't hear them, and equally the songs getting started in the safe standing section seemed to die in the lower tier too. Our songbook and tempo probably did us no favours here!! "Sing your hearts out for the lads" and "LalaLaLa Geordies" was deafening. After the game was class too with coming home Newcastle and then Sam fender getting belted out by everyone.
Superior Acuña
Was listening to the Micah Richards/Shearer/Lineker podcast thing. Richards was sitting around the halfway line and he said it was unusually loud because unlike most games there was a lot of noise coming from both sets of fans, equal he said. But he said the noise when we scored was the loudest he's heard at Wembley alongside when England scored against Germany in the Euros.

Theregulars
Hello, hello! song will have to change lyrics. I guess change to “we’re gonna win the premier league, we’re gonna win the cup”. I can’t wait to be old and tell young fans that for literal decades the words were “we’re gonna win fuck all again, we’re gonna win fuck all”. Wallsendmag
Had 48 hours to digest everything and not sure what I can say. Our crowd was absolutely incredible. Proper spine tingling support. The whole day had a completely different feel to last time. Chalk and cheese. People were up for it right from the off. Our end looked unbelievable. Everyone in black and white and just about everyone stood up for the entirety, unlike last time when most the top tier sat for some bizarre reason. It wasn't just the singing. It was the constant roars of encouragement and sheer intensity coming from our end. Our crowd wanted it so much more than theirs, and fortunately so did our players. The noise must have given them such a lift! Was talking to an elderly(ish) Liverpool fan in the pub afterwards. Whilst I thought their support was really poor on the day they were very friendly in the pubs pre and post match and magnanimous in defeat. He said that's the best support he's ever seen from an opposition support at Wembley and that was his 14th visit! He thought that our noise was the reason they were so quiet and that competing felt like it would be a waste of time. Also bemoaned the amount of tourists in their end and said how much their support has changed in the last decade. Something I pray doesn't happen to us. Just a perfect day/weekend all round. Upper tier wasn't particularly loud first 20 minutes where I was. Think I lost my voice after about 7 minutes which wasn't ideal The average age around me must have been about 75 but fuck me the reaction of some of them after the goals/ full time whistle. Little old wife beside me in tears set me off Think I sometimes forget that the club means as much to these people just because they aren't shouting and balling and being rowdy Maybe that's why we've got such an old fanbase. They've all been holding on for that moment ha
