Few sat down on their phone half way through the first half. Should be chased out and told they aren't welcome. Looking across at that Liverpool end on Sunday, that would kill me if it ever happened to us. Zero passion, zero enthusiasm, zero noise. Just there to take some photos before pissing off to whichever far flung place they arrived from. The genuine Liverpool fans must be gutted about it. Superior Acuña Posted Thursday at 14:01 Share Posted Thursday at 14:01 Seat next to me was empty actually, but I prefer to think that's cos they squashed in elsewhere with their mates.

Nucasol Posted Thursday at 14:48 Share Posted Thursday at 14:48 Good comment from NUFC.com match report about it: The danger signs of commercial excess were there at the other end of the ground though; too many day trippers and onlookers, too little genuine conviction or devotion. And among the proper punters clad in stripes, similar elements are starting to creep in. So-called influencers were evident, including several recording continually on their phones and another giving pre-game thoughts to some overseas audience. They cannot become the silent majority, no matter how big their bank balances are: that's what's knacking Spurs in their plush home.
NEEJ Posted Thursday at 14:53 Share Posted Thursday at 14:53 Keeping on theme I only spotted one half-and-half scarf but it was on a wrong'um in the corporate bit of our end.

I was in Club Wembley at the Liverpool end and can confirm their support was indeed shite. Ours sounded loud as fuck from where I was sitting and looked amazing. I know we sounded brilliant from where I was right behind the goal in the lower tier and that we couldn't hear them but I'm also aware that the acoustics at Wembley are absolutely shite so good to know we sounded loud from a more neutral area. Going to be hard to keep the authentic nature of our support, it’s already crept in and would be a sad day if the mass invasions of London for the weekend as an example were replaced by day tripping tourists who rock up with their cameras. I want the club to grow but it’s a very fine balancing act, only the club through ticketing and creating standing areas for like minded supporters can stop the club being swamped. This weekend will only have enhanced our global appeal, the images and raw passion will generate a new wave of fans, the club is very fashionable from the celebs to Fender and a potential superstar in Isak, heady times but we need to keep our local heritage. pedro111 Posted Saturday at 07:22 Share Posted Saturday at 07:22 All these reports of empty seats/people not bothered about being there are infuriating like. Specially as people like me and my mate who went in 69' had to traipse wearily across London to some bar to watch it. I know countless others in the same boat. Can’t say I saw that many tbf. not in the general seats area anyway. The gaps you see are likely just those from people congregating with their friends/family. Aka what happens at every away match. Can't comment on social media ‘celebs’ and the like being present, however anyone near me recording themselves would get told to pack it in. Was a fair few empty seats in club Wembley but that’s just due to the nature of the fucking place and greedy bastards wanting a tonne of money for what’s essentially just a seat with some posh bars. Absolutely zero complaints for Sunday. Our support was magnificent throughout. Slight dip when it got to 75-85 mins or so for 10 minutes due to the nerves kicking in, but every single last one of our supporters helped bring that home. I have no doubt about it. I’d say 80% stayed until the players went off too.
Adam Posted Saturday at 09:54 Share Posted Saturday at 09:54 Met some Liverpool fans on the train down, Sunday morning. They were just members but had managed to get to all cup games and champions league games. Only paid £20 for their cup games at anfield as well. Not sure how many season ticket holders they have or how they allocated final tickets. But for all the shit the club got it does seem our season ticket holders and cup games did work. Atmosphere was perfect on Sunday and the standing made a big difference. In an ideal world you do allow more non season ticket holders to events as there are hundreds of thousands of fans. Making sure they're supporters though no idea. We also need more standing areas at SJP. Bottom half of the gallowgate at the very least should be standing. We've also shown people can get stuck in with the noise now to bring that volume to "easier" home games.

I was in block 139 but my mate was in block 136 so I just stood with him. I reckon a fair few people were doing the same. Also loads standing in the aisles as wel.
