Match Atmosphere

Enjoyed myself in my spot the neet.  Tried my best to 'pass the chants'.  Voice is still intact which is wierd as it sometimes goes after 10 minutes. 

 

Thought the crowd were great tonight but it's hard to tell from where I am, can't usually hear anything other than the corner. 

 

A lot of people who are usually quiet seemed up for it, not naive enough to think it'll be like that all the time (include myself in that) but the fire is still there. 

 

Good performance on and off the pitch.

Yea it’s not realistic to be as up for eg a random Brentford match. But surely we could do it a bit more often  even if there’s not the same emotion behind it, just knowing it helps the team

Thing is our club have bent over backwards for them. Meanwhile they are IP banning ticket purchases made in the UK to stop us going in their end.

 

NUFC are a fucking joke. Not just for this either, but every single decision they make re ticketing is scandalous.
 

Shame the trust and the FAB won’t take them task for it. Too busy changing their gifts policies to ensure they can legally acquire them.

I was in what would be the last block of away fans for a full PL end, absolutely shite. Lowlights included:

• the 3 lads infront of me clearly supporting Barca
• the lad to my right being asleep when I arrived and subsequently fucking off after 10 mins 
• his mate (Scottish) who failed to keep him awake falling asleep later in the half before fucking off for the duration
• an absolute who’s who of half and half scarfs.

Mate in the East said there was a lot of Queens Park Strangers about n all.

Good to hear it was a good atmosphere. It weirdly sounded a bit flat on TV but I know they always fuck about with the sound levels so it's hard to get a true sense

I remember years ago Darren Curry and I would have our tete a tetes both publicly and privately and I got voted on the Trust and sacked it off after 6 weeks of intense arguing that they were bypassers in the Bruce/Ashley saga (from inside) and I think it was about then he changed his opinion on me too. Since then I've changed opinion on him. I told him to put his money where his mouth was and he absolutely has. Fair fucks. NUSC and WFs tackling the vast majority now. Not really sure on the point fo the FAB and Trust. Maybe that's just me being ignorant....

Weird old mix like. Only game I’ve seen like it is the first game against them and I was Leazes toward the East Stand corner for that. Mad and more importantly absolutely shit. 
 

Probably as bad a being at the match surrounding folk I’ve had.

NUSC are a breath of fresh air - I was dubious at the start. 
 

Re the trust - different people now to the self serving, true faith cunts. They seem to help fans with ticketing issues etc and have a what’s app group afaik that helps with issues. Maybe @LFEE could provide a good insight.

Yeah. I suspect I'm being unfair on them. That whole debacle helped build but also destroy the trust it seems.

I was in that exact spot on the very back row for the last game against Barca and a South Asian couple in Barca shirts came trekking all the way up to where I was because they were lost and couldn’t find their seats in our end. Security grabbed them and stuck them the away end.

Fortunate for them that there’s no ructions between ourselves and Barca, otherwise it could have got pwoppa naaawty whilst they were making their way up.

 

Also shitloads getting their selfies done from the balcony, which is a sign they’d probably never been to SJP before.

 

The same has happened again last night with Barca fans and tourists finding it easy enough to get tickets. NUFC don’t give a fuck about it though.

Totally forgot but there was a family near me of about 10/12 people. It was clearly their first game as they had to be shown by the stewards how to find their seats. There were about 6 children, half with NUFC shirts on and half with Barca shirts on. 
 

Sorry like, I know they’re kids and all that, but any piece of clothing with the oppositions crest on in home areas should be an automatic removal from the ground.

Was fortunate enough to get tickets off a pal for the east stand. What a strange place. I must admit there was some atmosphere in there last night. There’s also a lad who takes his son, who is destined to be a proper east stander.  Says fuck all, just eats a giant bag of haribos and stares if anyone dares sing. Oh and some cunt shouting for people to sit down when Newcastle are about to score.  Rancid.

If the atmosphere can be like that with all the interlopers, imagine what it could be like if people from the area could actually get tickets. 

 

It's an absolute disgrace how hard it is to get a ticket when you've got half and half scarves seemingly walking in without a care in the world. Where are they getting these tickets? And why is the burden of proof higher for an actual home supporter? 

 

Questions need to be asked. Raging about this

Spotted one half and half scarf in the East stand, and a bloke in front of me spent the first fifteen minutes taking photos. Other than that, thought it was great last night- though the crowd actually singing does remind me that we desperately need some new songs.
