Yankuba Minteh (on loan at Feyenoord)

The club folded to the fans demands immediately and sacked Mislintat (Technical Director) within hours of the game being called off. The coach he hired and the dogshit players he signed remain, including Chuba Akpom whom they gave Boro twelve millions euros for.

They have, indeed, been on a spiral since Overmars got punted, and Van der Sar's brain haemorrhage probably didn't help, but they've had the problem for years that they're still run like a sports club and not a multi-million euro business. Cruyff's velvet revolution can probably bear a huge amount of the blame for this: it only works when it works, and when things turn to shite you end up with everything descending into club bar politicking nonsense unbefitting of a club of their size.

And you know, there is an endless supply of prematurely-bald men with farmers' tans and quilted jackets, but not all of them all are elite football coaches. Time for a rethink on that front, time to hire some cunt with a full head of hair and a clue about coaching.

Akpom sighted, as Steijn subbed him on almost immediately after the game recommenced this afternoon. Didn't help much as Feyenoord ended the game 4-0, and Ajax ended the game 14th in the league.

I've tried my hardest to get into Ajax, being my local club and all, but have to admit to finding this fucking hilarious.

Living in Schiedam just off Rotterdam aye. Not particularly a fan of any Dutch club though. If you'd put a gun to my head I'd probably say Feyenoord now, although grew up supporting PSV, mainly because my father supports them and they were mint when I grew up (Romario, original Ronaldo era).

Too many red-and-white stripes for me, like ;)

And yeah, I feel like being a Northerner I should have far more of a spiritual connection with Rotterdam and Feyenoord, but I guess life cast me amongst the arrogant, metropolitan wimps of Mokum hahaha. The one thing I will give Feyenoord mind is that De Kuip is obviously by far the best stadium in the country..

I just hope he doesn't get too attached to the club and push for a permanent move there [emoji38]. He does come across happy there which can surely only be a good thing for his development.

Shows the damage Mike Ashley did that people can worry about our youth players having their heads turned by the development clubs they go to  We're in the Champion's League, we're backed by filthy rich people who are setting us up to be squarely among the very best - there's nothing to worry about!

I'm not particularly worried, hence the addition of the emoji, just pointing out that he seems to have developed a bond with the club he's currently representing.

I know, no offence intended. Just funny to think of this even crossing the mind of virtually any other Premier League club's support.

It's harsh on the Dutch League, and I don't like what's happened to the modern game at all, but Minteh probably views his time there pretty similarly to how Anderson saw Bristol Rovers. Lovely, but not the destination.

It’s a risk when you loan a player for a number of years that they become attached to a city and it happens to the biggest clubs see Chelsea and Courtois, who was with Athletico for three years then forced a move to Real to be back in Madrid. If it happens, it happens, so long as we get paid.
