I’d rather play City right at the start of the season.

Same. I think Villa at home is a good start too. Not one of the elite, Emery will have an eye on the Europa Conference Play-Off around that time, we'll do them.

They don’t play a play off, do they?

I’m sure they go straight into the group stage.

People nervous about Villa at home?

They're a really good side like, and if the season began when Emery took over they'd have finished ahead of us in the league, they also dicked us 3-0, they're going to strengthen too, its as far from a gimme as you could want.

Yes, and Man City and Liverpool games immediately after. Then I'm also nervous about every game following them until the end of the season.

Where is this info coming from?

Just some shit on Twitter.

I'm not sure why some people get concerned a hard start to the season means at other times there's more favorable run of games. Injuries & suspensions are probably less likely at the beginning of the season so we could be going into those 3 'difficult' fixtures at full strength.

We only won once in the first eight games last season and we ended up alright!

Obviously if we do start poorly the narrative will be obvious but I trust Eddie and the team to block that out.
