I’m not his biggest fan but that’s pretty harsh. He was our 4th highest top scorer

Yeah but think how many times he passed to the opposition, fell over or observed someone charging through our midfield.

Unless we're not realizing how skilled his positioning is then Tonali (or whomever is playing there) is going to find himself with just as many chances.

Have a feeling the lad is going to absolutely blow us away next season

He's definitely got some making up to do, but that's probably above even his pay grade.

This is the crux of it. Goals are the end product, but you don't get to that stage if you can't keep the ball, and that has to be one of the biggest attributes required of a midfielder.

We went about half a season with Miley and Longstaff either side of Bruno, even being negative and allowing for injuries, rotation, suspensions, we should have 2/3s of a season at least of Joelinton and Tonali either side of him. Fuck.

You'd think Joelinton, Tonali, and Willock can at least combine for 38 games in the worst of worst scenarios. Just one of them always being available would be a big help. Excited to see how Miley develops too.

If longstaff could finish he’d have probably gotten more goals than Gordon.

If Longstaff could dribble, control a ball, pass, score and tackle he would be a footballer.

That lot are definitely up to no good but it’s good that he’s a lad in the group.

I had the same reaction - let's hope he doesn't trade problems  But it's really positive that he's mixing in with the natives.
