Willock was totally and utterly anonymous on Saturday, while Joelinton was everywhere from the first minute. But you do you.

No need to be rude, it is just opinions. I rate Joelinton very highly but would like to see how the above midfield would work. Also more than happy to see how Joelinton - Tonali - Bruno would work.

Also, for me, we lost a lot because we took Tonali off when he was, in my opinion, our best player.

I'm hoping that's the last of his managed minutes for a while. While he may not be a consistently super technical midfielder (although he has some fantastic passes in his locker imo), what I like about him most is that he picks & chooses moments in possession. He has more of a 'typical' midfielder's instinct for when to slow things down and when to speed things up compared to others we have.

His speed across the middle was great at the weekend for nabbing second balls too.

He has been shite. Longstaff contributes more than him.

I hadn't noticed Tonali much in the first half, then watched him for a bit just before he got pulled. Ran around the periphery a bit and laid off a couple of nice first time passes. Longstaff came on and bombed forward, then missed a couple of passes.

Looks a completely different player for Italy. I wonder why.

We don't play to his strengths at all. He wants to pass and move, our entire system is based around doing everything at 1000 mph... Unless that "everything" is rolling the ball around at the back, in which case we become painfully slow.

He'd be best suited at the moment sitting deep while the other two push on. I'll never understand why Howe is so stubborn in playing Bruno where he does, it hamstrings the rest of the midfield massively.

He did well at DM in the 4th place season. The problem is, we are clinging onto stuff that worked 1-2 years ago. We need to move on and evolve, try something new, even if that involves moving away from something that worked so well last year (or even 2 years ago)..

He had one great game before he got banned and that was his debut.

I don’t understand what he was doing today. Felt like he left the right side regularly, which gave Palmer tons of space and left Tino and Schar exposed.

If he plays on the left for Italy I’d try him there or I’d be interested in seeing him in the middle.

Plays with players who actually play as a team, not a bunch of individuals.

He played exactly like this before the ban but people forgot about it. Apart from the Villa when he scored he looks completely the wrong fit for the way we play

He's too talented to be stuck at RCM playing one time passes back to the defence. We need to change systems

Can't blame him.

Doesn't want to have anything to do with whoever is messing things up down that right wing.

As it stands, he doesn't play like a 55million player for us. If we could rewind time, we should have bought 2/3 players to build up on squad depth. Hindsight is a wonderful thing I guess.
