Fak
1 hour ago, LionOfGosforth said: Another thing I love about Tonali is that he doesn't go around kicking people or trying to act the hard man but he'll shut it down if anyone comes any of it with him. Absolutely loved watching him plant Grealish on his arse with minimal fuss when he tried it on. Thing I love about Joelinton is that he does go around kicking people and trying to act the hard man. Gawalls
4 hours ago, STM said: It's wonderful that we are now in a position where Bruno or Tonali could be below par (I'm not saying he was) and the other can carry the team. We never have the option with any other midfielder. Bruno essentially said this when interviewed after the game, I’m paraphrasing but he said something like “I’m now in a position where I can create more as I’m higher up the pitch as well as drop back and help Sandro as he can with me”. I think this is what Howe wanted all along tbf, both of them switching positions on the pitch as and when needed. It just seems to have clicked better once Sandro was given the starting role in the deeper position.
Holloway
now when an attack breaks down and the play switches, you are immediately looking for Sandro to get back, intercept, break it up. It is actually painful watching Bruno trying to chase down opposition players on the move
alexf
Loved when he took over a few times and ran down the clock almost single handed in those final minutes.

pubteam
There was a moment he received the ball in our box, surrounded by spurs players and just calmly picked his pass, no panic, looked like he was kicking about in the park. Tonali the movie is going to be one hell of a watch, the ultimate comeback story.

These 2 together are class and a little more time together they'll be elite. Hate to say it, because I love Joelintoon, but adding another of a similar level would transform us again. I am ready to believe in Lewis Miley to add to that dynamic. I think he has all the talent to make it to the very top. No, I am NOT biased because he’s a local lad.
