lovejoy
Excellent article in The Athletic today about him. Horncastle, Ornstein, Whitwell and Waugh have all contributed. Claims there’s no ‘gentleman’s agreement’ for him to go. If anything, it makes it sound as if he’ll be staying.

They (Bosnia) are slow and predictable, they only have one kid (Alajbegović) who is very strong... if we lose it would be better if they didn't go back to Italy. Claims there’s no ‘gentleman’s agreement’ for him to go. If anything, it makes it sound as if he’ll be staying. The gist of it was that Tonali should be valued at £100m+ given the high fees similar midfielders have been sold for, and other clubs would be reluctant to pay that. I don't think we have any intention of selling, but it depends on whether Tonali really wants to leave.
The College Dropout
Tonali and his agent will know what to do to get the transfer over the line. It does require a club to be super interested and there's no guarantee of that materialising. I remember Ruben Neves and Martinez doing "good byes" - Martinez even stopped playing and transfers not materialising. Man U opted against Martinez at Villa's asking price for someone else and Neves never caught enough interest. Same can happen to Sandro. I'm braced for the worst mind. JonBez comesock
By saying the worst do you mean selling a player at a very high price that we all know by that late stage , doesn’t want to be here i say doesn’t want to be here, with the knowledge that he puts pen to paper at a new club , verifying his preference to play elsewhere and earn more money For me , anyone leaving has to be for the best as it means they want to go and play elsewhere / earn more ….or the club doesn’t want them to be here (no longer in the clubs plans) We just have to get used to it and support the players we have (until they go) Same with every club Edited March 31 by JonBez comesock
JonBez comesock
In a non Psr / Scr world we would ideally keep our best players , pay them better wages and add new players every year
