Well he can actually strike a ball well so I don't mind when he takes a punt from range.

I was screaming for us to get in the middle and start taking shots like.  We were failing miserably at breaking them down and needed to start getting shots on goal.

Many times sandro was central outside of the box in pockets of space and I feel like we would have got more joy if we started just smashing the cunt at pickford.  Hardly great tactics but sideways-passing them to death wasn't working.

I don't think I ever want to see that save off Pickford at the end again... Fuckin outstanding.

Flexxing to the Gallowgate after he pulled it off was top shithousery and I can't even be mad at it.

Sandro was also one of the few who was picking the ball up in the centre circle and driving forward with the ball when the space was in the central areas. Everyone else just looks to punt the ball out wide where the players get closed down pronto.

Currently our most saleable asset

What's everyone's thought on where he goes In the summer ?

Tino, Hall, Malick, Gordon, Miley.... sure there'll be massive bids in for them too.

I thought he was immense today. Carried the side second half

Can't sell him unless he's desperate to move on. Sell any of Wissa, Wolt, Elanga, Osula before selling any of our top stars.

Selling the first three is unlikely to put anything much into the pot.  We need to do what we should have been doing for some time - selling players at peak value.  Last summer reduces confidence that we’ll get them replaced, though.

The reality is without European football I'm expecting one of Tonali, Gordon or Livramento to go. I'd be leaning towards Tino just due to his contract situation, but with the other two we might be able to get more £ due to the length of their deals until 2029/30ish. This is all subject to the player wanting to be here which might come into question. The way Howe has operated when we've not had European football is he seems to use a peak of between 13-14 players across the season based on minutes played. Wilson is data led, or so we've been told, and this might play a part in their approach to the window.

We could look to sell Osula and Willock (which I think we should), but that doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. The worry is how we reinvest that as last summer was a disaster.

If you're the opposition after this season you're not giving us anything near £55m or £69m for Elanga, Wissa or Woltemade. Which therefore makes selling these players redundant unless they want to do a major rebuild and are willing to take the hit and admit they're 'failures'.

I expect Tonali and Livramento to be off - Gordon I’m not sure, maybe if he has a good WC - if someone offers daft money he’ll be gone.  But I don’t anticipate seeing Tonali or Livramento in a B&W shirt after May.

Edit: we’d need £41m for Wissa to ‘break even’; £44m for Elanga, £55m for Woltemade.  I can see someone paying close to that for Woltemade; can’t see anyone getting close with Wissa or Elanga

I think he’s been poor for much of the season tbh

It doesn't make him a bad player though

No, but it also doesn’t make him a great one either.

:burn2: Tonali is a class player who went through a bad run of form.  Happens to every player.  The team as a whole is struggling which hasn't helped either.

I can’t name many truly class players who dip for as long as he has tbh.

Possibly bullshit but good news if true.

There might not be much of him left by the summer the way he’s getting ran into the ground.

That guy has only one speed, full. Up to the manager to limit his minutes because he goes all out for 95.

Yes great news. So who is the key player who's already agreed a summer move to a London club? Gordon maybe. Better not be Hall.
