This guy is bang on with Arsenal news, if a loan option is viable I’d expect us to be interested

You’d think Arsenal will be absolutely desperate to shift some players given how much they’ve spent.

a loan with an obligation based on minutes played for us would be perfect.

Agree, would also imagine any deal like that would he later in the window.

Arsenal might not be so keen on a loan as you tweet suggested. It means they bare all the risk.

It may be their only option and surely he will push for a move. Based on pre season he is 4th choice. I’d imagine he will want to be playing regularly ahead of the euros.

4th choice? He’s played every game pre season except one so far (coming on a sub admittedly, but subs have also been the likes of Odegaard etc too).

Well Arsenal fans have said he’s behind Zinchenko, Tomiyasu and now Timber for the left back role

I’ve only gone on the official Arsenal website listing their games and lineup. He’s come

on in every game except one so far.

Aye he’s got minutes but isn’t favoured ahead of any of them (according to their fans). No doubt we will see at the beginning of the season as Zinchenko is a doubt for the opening game.

That's exactly what Klopp and Liverpool did

Robertson, Mane, Firmino, Salah, etc, were hardly household names when they joined Liverpool.

Furthermore, signing the likes of Owen, Luque and co, whilst exciting at the time, got us nowhere.

I don't think what he's saying sounds like a bad thing really, I'd be surprised if it comes across negative when you listen/watch it.

We literally had no depth when the new owners took over, they have strategically bought younger talent with a aim to coach them into a system we play.  This will buy us time in the next couple of seasons to then make more specific marquee signings.

Its the right model to follow having watched other clubs being taken over and ridiculous money being spent on players who leave after one or two seasons.

People really need to take quotes from twitter with a huge pinch of salt until they've actually heard or watched them.

I think he's saying that Howe has got the players for his approach but he and others maybe would've expected some big names because of who our owners are.

If you read his full quotes in the Chronicle they’re anything but complimentary; <paraphrasing> he’s said that besides maybe Tonali we’ve signed players that we could have bought even if we weren’t in the Champions League.

All in print so could still be out of context but the general feeling is that him and Neville are underwhelmed by our summer business so far.
