FFP, brilliant ain’t it? It's not 2013 anymore. Proven Prem players at PL clubs cost a bomb.
gbandit
We desperately need to be matching Brighton’s transfer model but was that more down to their owner than Ashworth?
aussiemag
It seems we have to sell to buy. What would you be willing to sell each of our players for? Pope - 30 mill Dubravka - 5 mill Trippier - 25 mill Schar - 20 mill Botman - 80 mill Livramento - 60 mill Lascelles - 15 mill Burn - 15 mill Targett - 10 mill Krafth - 5 mill Dummett - Free Manquillo - Free Hall - loan Longstaff - 30 mill Miley - 60 mill Joelinton - 50 mill Bruno - 100 mill Willock - 40 mill Almiron - 20 mill Tonali - 40 mill Anderson - 30 mill Ritchie - Free Gordon - 70 mill Murphy - 15 mill Barnes - 30 mill Isak - 100 mill Wilson - 20 mill ————————— Total Value - 870 mill I’d be looking to sell Almiron, Wilson, Targett, Longstaff and Krafth. Dont renew Ritchie or Dummett. Bring in 85 mill pounds. Save 500k a week in wages. Sign a developing CB to backup Schar (30 mill) A starting RW (50 mill) A forward to replace Wilson (50 mill) Get Minteh back. A central midfielder that can receive the ball deep to beat the press. (50 mill) —————————————————- cost - 180 mill @ 36 mill per year.

Geordie Boyo
Longstaff, Lascelles and Target . They are players who can do a job, but just enough to get a few bob off otherwise keep the rest - some of which are injured in anyways .
Miggys First Goal
Should do a job lot of players. Offer them to Forest or something. Gillespie Dummett Ritchie Kraft Manquillo Lewis Ashby Fraser Hayden Hendrick Should be able to get a combined £50MM for that lot.

Unbelievable
2 hours ago, arnonel said: I think the club are smashing it. The only tweak I would have liked to make, would have been to follow more of a Brighton/Dortmund type model I would have been happy to be patient, mopping up all the wonderkids, building to winning the league in 5-7 years. The disadvantage with going after elites is that the expectations increase, and we run into problems with FFP. After getting 4th, the perception is that anything else is failure. We are always playing catch up. Absolutely. Develop top youth facilities, recruit elite youth coaches and bring in some of the best available talent in the 15-18 age range. In a few years time we should have a conveyor belt of saleable assets and the odd Miley to keep us ticking over. Clearly due to FFP we can’t just bring in the finished article and expect to compete with the likes of City in a few years time. Also this approach makes us sustainable, so that if the Saudis were to leave the foundations would still be in place to keep the club going at the highest level. That’s a good point. Brighton’s success has to be more than what Ashworth contributed in his short time there. They have an excellent scouting department and an owner who backs clever recruitment. I’m not really sure what our blueprint is yet

All PL clubs books are published. It’s not made up, as Everton can attest. I mean can we be certain that the information published is true? Perhaps we can, I don’t know, I just think in football if you have money and the will you normally get what you want.

The Butcher
Not sure we'll get a fee for any of our squad/backup players tbh. Most of them will leave when their contract is up.
MrRaspberryJam
Ashworth should be fired from a cannon if he only manages to pull in £40m for Willock
