I think they were (Minteh and Kuol) signed with a view to coming back into the fold after gaining more experience and proving good enough. We just happened to end up in a situation where we had to sell, so that narrative suits to make it look under more control. I refuse to believe they risked a hefty punishment on several factors turning in their favour. 1) Minteh’s loan being that successful.. if he’d flopped or not been picked by a coach.. wave goodbye to 30m and 2) the fee being as high as it was.. Legal cases don’t really work like that though. There is a single judgement at the end after both sides have presented arguments.
