NUFC Transfer Rumours

I don’t think we need another striker. We have Wilson and Osula as backup.

If we sell Wilson, then maybe we can bring in a striker but even then I’d  prefer another young understudy type, as Osula seems to have a lot of potential and is seemingly highly rated within the club.

Wilson has been excellent this season TBF. No need. Though Osula hopefully gets up to speed and builds Eddie's trust as I've liked what I've seen from him.

Striker you expect us to be creative with if funds are limited. Someone on a free who’s experienced (DCL…), or someone who’s raw but talented from abroad. As Isak is number 1 guy, so why spend £40m+ on someone who’s back up to that when we have other pressing areas to address of genuine starting quality to up the bar.

Then if they can play outwide, I’d rather it be a specialist outwide, who could fill in up top in exceptional circumstances, instead of other way round, if it needs to be someone to cover two position.

This is why Mbeumo makes great sense. A RW who has played up top for a period of time.

Gyokeres would surely jump at the chance to play with Isak next summer.

Bring in a top centre back, find our Odegaard type player and we’d be fighting for the title.

Isn't just about every top club in the world linked with Gyokeres?

Yeah, but it's PSG. They don't plan properly then end up with a bunch of players that no longer fit after they've changed direction.

They're now hardly using him because Enrique is now using Asensio as a false 9 because he's gone to that sort of system.

They know they won't get anywhere near what they paid, which was a silly fee in the first place, and so they're making him available for a reasonable and realistic price since money doesn't even matter to them really.

Mbappe went on a free.  Brilliant business.

Kolo Muani sounds like the ideal signing to me. Covers two positions, and particularly the right wing, where we need strengthening. He's definitely a significant upgrade on what we have.

Eddie doesn't like loan signings, unless there's an option to buy. Whether the player would go for that, of course, is another issue.

Not sure Howe would like Cherki. Personally I would absolutely love it. Ridiculously talented and enjoyable to watch. Has end product too and is so creative. Would free up space so often for the other players such as Isak to name one. Could also play between Isak and say Tonali and Bruno and offer something we currently don’t have. I don’t think every player has to be extremely strong defensively.

Yeah. Not a chance he’d come here or that we could afford him.

As a golden rule links that kaka posts are generally tenuous at best so i wouldnt worry. That one from Talbot suggests more reasons why we wouldnt be after him

I was on about Gyokeres.  You'd imagine if he keeps on, he'll have every top club in Europe after him.

Kolo Muani, who knows.

Maybe a stupid question, but is there any difference buying in January vs the summer in terms of financial rules?

The difference between January and June is wages spent (or saved if selling), plus a portion of amortization.

July 1 and after very different.

They'll have changed the rules a few times between now and January if the last week is anything to go by.

But is that so much to be fearful of breaching the rules?
