Surely we’ve seen enough of him now (when he actually gets some minutes) to know that his end product is generally poor, that’s he’s not a natural goal scorer and whilst he’s very quick he’s got nowt else. He’s not progressed at all from his Man U time. I’ll be genuinely worried if this is a goer. Agreed
Sibierski
There must be some strong underlying stats to Elanga to keep us interested? And at his age, something the club can see extracting more out of. I wouldn’t be against Elanga, but that would be in a position of us being able to spend on a few players. Him being the only ‘named’ signing would be proper underwhelming. Might as well sell Barnes to bring a RW in. Exactly this. Optimistic signing at the expense of buying an actual RW that would have brought us balance. Barnes is really a luxury we can't afford even if he is our best finisher after Isak and probably Wilson. Gordon should still start ahead of him. This would be a signing to appease Howe and I’d be seriously worried about Mitchell being the right man if he signed it off.

ExiledGeordie
I’d like to think Mitchel has some better options across Europe over Elanga.

Cronky
Very impressed with Bakayoko on the basis of a You tube scouting. Then I come on here. It looks like a non-starter, at the moment. He seems to have a very high opinion of himself too, which may not go down well in the dressing room. Edited December 11 by Cronky

Kid Icarus
Scenes when we sign him and it turns out Eddie Howe knows what he's doing.
BonesJones
Wasn't a big fan of Bakayoko after watching him last night, and confirmed by PSV friend who said take him he's all yours! If I wanted one of their players it would be that attacking mid Saibari.

McCormick
Elanga’s been poor this season but I can see why Eddie likes him; he has a lot of the raw attributes that Gordon has. So lots to work with potentially. That’s not to say spending 40m plus on him represents good business necessarily but happy to back our manager if he’s the player he really wants. Shadow Puppets
My best mate is a Forest fan and really likes Elanga. Not the most exciting signing, but he's got plenty of raw talent.
Conjo
IMO Elanga is the type of player you take a punt on the same way Forest did with Hudson-Odoi. Not someone you'd spunk a notable portion of your transfer budget on. Still, if Howe and Mitchell agrees he's a target they want then by all means go for it. That said, I wouldn’t spend £65m on Bakayoko either, he is not worth that kind of money.
Dandy Man
I'd rather have Elanga over Bakayoko myself, especially if Bakayoko is going to cost more

I've not paid that much attention to Elanga to pass judgement, but if Howe likes him, he must see him as a good fit. That said I'm not convinced Mitchell will be as keen unless the price is low-ish. Nine
I don’t see how Elanga fits now, he’d be incredible in the 22/23 side and maybe even last year but I’m not convinced hes the right profile anymore. Edited December 11 by Nine
