Rashford anyone ?

He would literally have to halve his wages.

Wouldn’t actually be surprised if he’s a success again once he gets away from the toxic environment that’s currently surrounding him, but even ignoring finances, given pressing is clearly not one of his strengths, it’s never going to be here.

He needs to look at himself in the mirror too - not exactly set the world alight last few years

I wouldn’t be overly pissed off if we’d signed another Man U player on an expiring contract like, more so given we need a CB

Of course, but we’ve seen plenty players toss it in at a club for one reason or another, then move on and do well elsewhere.

It’s not even necessarily a Man Utd thing (although their record in this regard since Ferguson left is dreadful), it might just be more about moving away from the area and is whatever is or isn’t going on around him.

Still, it’s a monumental risk for anyone unless he agrees to a dramatic wage cut.

Think the next striker we go for will be a hybrid one - hopefully in the mould of a Jota and Gakpo - someone who can be an alternative to our RW (when we sign one)

Rashford's wages seem astronomical for most in the league, they'll find it hard to shift him. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he did really well for a midtable solid team built around his strengths with a good positive manager and less pressure and less of a basket case club with less scrutiny. This is not to say he has been blameless, but the narrative that he's shit seems to come from that that, he is not an absolutely top tier talent no , but he is better than he has been. In right environment he can score plenty of goals, he has shown that. Unfortunately very few clubs can afford his wages.

You’ll never see a worse player off the ball than Rashford, if he loses it he just casually jogs around. The complete opposite of someone like Gordon.

He is the furthest thing from a system friendly player, I don’t see any serious side wanting him. Like others have said, PSG seems to be the move. They can carry him in that league.

One of the sole reasons Man United signed Weghorst when they did was to cover for Rashford off the ball imo, says enough really.

Yup, reeks of PSG or Galatasaray / Fenerbache.

Maybe Chelsea.

Nah Chelsea pay low wages just long contract makes up for it these days.

I agree his ego wont allow him to take the paycut, and agree he's a limited player, but say if he went to Fulham reckon he'd score plenty. But he won't.

Froggy isn’t enamoured by him. Given he sticks up for pretty much Man Utd player that says a lot about how he’s dropped off a cliff. It would be the ultimate Freddie Shepherd signing for us. Akin to Owen, Butt or Smith.
