Get Dibling Delap and Trafford and our spine will dominate the England setup for the next decade. Those two plus Hall, Miley and Tino.

Definitely possible especially as we can sell how much Howe can improve them.

Better value for money out there imo, although I think Dibling would be great.

It’s hilarious all the gutter press going full out to try and derail our feel good factor. Seems rather than playing in a cup final isak and Bruno were actually negotiating moves to Arsenal and Liverpool.

Aye, thought it was pretty desperate that Romano was linking Isak with Liverpool about an hour after the final.

Think if both get relegated, £35-40m gets you them, plus Trafford for £30m.
£100m is actually a good outlay for 3 high potential high ceiling players also on relatively low wages who could become first choice.

Bear in mind we'll be clearing the decks also, plus Longstaff pure profit etc.

This is a safe proven trio, which will allow us to go a bit more glamorous and risky with the purples and then a couple of random foreigners.

He’s been on the bench a lot recently but is very talented

I’ll take Dibling and Cunha

Cost a fortune for dibling nevermind cunha.

I think we will sign a lot of barely unknowns and a few like Trafford.

That's our position at the moment with psr.

My gut feeling is we’ll spend about £150m in total, and recoup about £20m or £30m.

Obviously that’s all blown out of the water if a purple goes.

I can't imagine how potentially good a summer could be after a cup win and a (hopeful) top 5 finish

We've done some great things with this squad and Eddie, I reckon most managers would have regressed having the same squad for 2 seasons or more, imagine us with 2/3 starters and some better cover on the bench

Romero (Spurs), up for sale in the summer if he doesn't sign a new contract.

Depends on the price ofcourse, but he's only 26. I'd take him here without a doubt. Can be a bit rash and is certainly likely for a red card or two across a season but I think it's worth the risk if we could get him for a good price.

Contender for understatement of the year…

Guess on first signing? Trafford

Trafford by the end of May. Dibling following shortly after, followed by a striker and a purple CB in August.

Likely, sounded like it’s almost already done.

Surely dependent on what league Burnley are in though. Price will differ dependent on it surely.

Maybe, but he only has two years left on his contract (I think?), so the summer is the last chance to full value regardless of what league they’re in.

Absolutely not on Romero, think he is great in a back five where being rash is more acceptable but a liability in a back four where he just exposes the other centre back.

DIbling would be a great signing as long as it isn't too high a price and Trafford looks like he is going to be coming.

Would love Guler, not sure how realistic that is or how much he would cost? Seems like he wants out at Real Madrid but have heard that Inter Milan want him.

I would say our stock as a destination is probably the highest it's been since the Keegan era, since 1997 or so. Keegan could have attracted anyone in Europe in that 1995-97 window, and we were regularly linked with the likes of George Weah, Roberto Baggio, Zidane etc. Even Asprilla, who we did get was a genuine superstar at the time, even though many don't remember him to be at that level.

Players now will see this is an exciting upwardly mobile destination who now win things and will want to jump on board to be part of the ride.

Even in the SBR era, we were the next rung down, the Atletico, Borussia Dortmund, Roma, Marseille level, rather than the elite. Players we were linked with were still very very good but not the highest tier - e.g. Rui Costa.

Now, we may be below Man City, Liverpool and maybe possibly Arsenal as a destination to come to in the PL, sporting wise. So the calibre, especially if we get CL could be pretty much anyone except for the ultra top tier like Mbappe, Vini etc. Who would have expected we could have gotten Scudetto-winning captain Tonali, after all?

I haven’t run the numbers, but I’d be very surprised if our nett outlay is anywhere near that high.

Yeah, on sales:

£15m for Longstaff, £6m for Targett, nominal fee for Tripps. Any more would have to be a bigger sale - someone like a Barnes, Willock or, dread to say it, a purple.
