How much do we reckon West Ham would demand for Kudus?

Would be great for the right wing/striker role. Can't see West Ham letting him go cheaply andd imagine he'd go for more than the rumoured £50mil for Mbeumo

£85m release clause.

Really interesting thoughts on Elliott.

I didn't know what to think when I saw the rumours.

Was pretty much undecided based on what both sides have said on here.

He has a lot of quality about his play, but not sure he gets around the pitch well enough, which would be an issue defensively especially.

I like Mbeumo. But I don’t think he’s for £60m player for us.

I can’t see us signing him for that money.  Kevin Schade yesterday looked like a Howe type player to me. Imposing winger/forward, who’s strong in the tackle, scores, but also defensively solid.

I thought Schade lost pretty much every duel yesterday. Trippier completely dominated him.

Btw that Damsgaard is a very nice player. Excellent ball in-behind towards the end.

I feel like Brentford purposely sign players from second rate footballing nations that are bald. All of which have potential to be quality. It ruins the players marketing some degree.

Ivan Toney was too handsome with a great haircut. Never a long term Brentford player.  Wissa, Mbeumo, Damsgaard - proper Brentford players.

Same.  I like him. But unsure if he has the legs for what we need from him.

I'd be against signing Elliott because a) Liverpool are a bunch of cunts and I'd hate for us to send any money their way and b) they'd undoubtedly try and work some kinda angle into a potential deal for Isak.

But mostly a)

I'm not sure. I've seen him score some lovely goals cutting in from the right. He's definitely got quality end product, but is he the high press player we need? Would he get injured a lot at Howe's intensity?

He will probably be expensive. I'd have to look more closely at this stats to see if he's a fit but gut says he'd be a luxury more than a need.

I'd rather not buy top 4 cast offs, we need to find the cheaper gems that are a better fit.

For those that would take Elliot a couple of questions.

How much do you think he would cost?

Where would he fit in to our team?

I wouldn’t take him, but the only way he would play is on the right and tucking in, however Tino isn’t good enough offensively for that imo. Cost wise got to be at least 40 million. Much better options out there imo.

Yeah, that's a fair assessment I think.

However, I have to say I'm not a fan of the not signing top four cast offs mindset.

If it's a player that is deemed a better fit for us, and that can perform at a high level in our setup I'm not that bothered tbh.

Some people probably thought Hall was a Chelsea cast off.

Yeah that's a definite exception. Maybe I'm being harsh.

I get the sentiment, but at the same time I think sometimes we give those teams too much credit.

A lot of times they don't bring young players through very well and let a lot of talent slip through the cracks.

Also, sometimes they are just a mess and players lose their way. Rashford for example is looking like a really good pickup for Villa, despite how bad things had become for him at Man Utd.

£25m-£30m would get him I believe, and would be RW. Would be a complete opposite to Murphy, but his eye for a pass is exceptional.

If he was French etc. he’d be viewed so differently by our fans.

I’ll forever bang the English drum and the silly depths of talent in this country.
