NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

All we have so far is tabloid talk, obviously there's no smoke without fire but we don't know for sure that we're aiming for premium PL talent.

We've had a disappointing 2 years with zero transfers so yes we're all on edge, but we know we have money to spend, we just need to trust that we know what we're doing and we will get what we need/are looking for.

Howe and his team have yet to let us down so until they do for me they get the benefit of the doubt and I won't be getting ansy or flapping about arbitory time lines.

If there's a positive to take out of this, we still have all our money at hand. It could mean if we shop abroad that we can sign 4-5 players instead of 3, and that would really boost our squad. Assuming our scouts have done their homework.

Based on the fact Pedro would probably come in as a 10, then I can see us maybe moving on to Kudus who could also offer the same versatility with a preference for operating in the middle.

Hope so tbh.

Our cover for RW is to play people out of position.

We are not getting a big money striker as a Isak backup. That just does not happen with PSR. Thinking that is a joke tbh. We are getting a backup option, either a free like DCL or cheap from abroad.

If we were going to get expensive striker, why offer Wilson new deal? To be a 3rd choice?

DCL I'm actually embarrassed for you that you think he would be an option. You keep telling yourself though

I ask you again: Who are these proven strikers we should be after, given our current squad, it's flaws and PSR situation?

I am happy with 3-4 names

Is the exact thing we are desperate to avoid.

Imagine paying 30m for someone who turns out to be Lloyd Kelly. This place would be furious.

It's just my personal preference. If we went down that road and the new players didn't set the world alight I honestly couldn't care less if some numpties on here got mad about it a year down the line. The club have proved capable of picking up great players that would cost 2x and maybe even more if they were already playing the PL. Have some faith, grow some balls and lets go for it! Mbuemo & Pedro are functional players but boring as fuck.

Kudus is definitely on our list like. Don’t know how close to the top though.

Howe literally said in a presser we can’t go for the premium, already PL based players due to the finances. Bit confusing that’s exactly what we’ve done

Was referring to buying players from the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal. As oppose to them thinking they could buy ours. That was the context.

And Ryder asking if we would go after a player like Shearer. Star players basically.

I hope so but I can't for the life of me understand how the club could expect to get him if they weren't willing to go the extra lengths to get their number 1 option.

Strikers all over Europe, same as wingers and defenders. Pick a name as they would be still a better signing than DCL.

So you do not have any examples.

Like I said, we will most likely get a freebie like DCL or someone cheap from abroad.

If you think it is going to be big money striker, prepare to be disappointed.

What is extra length? If you mean Pedro, Romano said he only wanted to move to Chelsea, so no chance there.
