Trafford and Elanga seem desperate to come here so I think they are worth the premier league premium. I think we’ll have to go close to 60m, anything more and we should walk away. The Greek fella is hardly going to just hand him over though is he.
STM
I really like Elanga but it is interesting how 12 months ago the idea of signing Elanga for even 40m would have had people up in arms, now we are talking 60m. Im of the opinion that 60m is absolutely top end and we shouldnt go any further... however, there comes a point where we have to do what we've got to do. This RW position has plagued us for years and I reckon we've got to bite the bullet and get it done. At the very least we can go into the season knowing we have a priority position sorted. loki679
£60m for Elanga is batshit. We have to stop trying to buy players from the PL, it's absurd.
Joe_F
We can't let it turn into another Guehi saga. Make our bid(s) this week and if Forest turn them down move on.
Zero
I think it’s really fair to say the management has been doing a very poor job since Staveley left.
SUPERTOON
No new names from Waugh/Caulkin this morning, they do however reckon we moved swiftly on from Pedro after finding out he wasn’t interested in the move here.
OoOGazOoO
60m for Elanga would be absolutely crazy I have to say.

Shadow Puppets
I massively disagree with £60m for Elanga being "crazy" like. He's a proven PL player, with massive raw attributes, only 23, on the back of a really good season. He's about as close to a guaranteed "good signing" as we're going to find. I'd put Kudus in the same bracket but he's coming off the back of a poor season. The "shopping abroad" thing is all well and good, but the prices being thrown around seem equally as high in Europe at the moment. I think we just have to get used to the idea that £60m today is the equivalent of £40m a couple of seasons ago.

Harveys Barn
Elanga strikes me as a really nice addition if we can land him. He's already excellent in the PL. He has an elite and disciplined approach. Now imagine him at 25 instead of 23, having had two years of Howe to develop him further. All prices are mad these days, inflation has run amok. What does annoy me is that we don't seem to even really be trying to scout deeply. We should be getting in Elanga, PLUS 4 players who were all scouted well and cost 10-12m each. It seems that Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford and even Wolves manage to do that every year. The talent is out there. Shearergol
Still think he's better than Elanga. Not fast enough for some though. £50m for Elliott is loads better value than £60m () for Elanga.

Kimbo
They’re close in age and Elanga is far more proven, and athleticism does matter a lot with our style of play. Elliott over Elanga seems a tough argument to make. I don’t think we’re getting either anyway.

That being said the prices floated for both are over the top.
