Elephant
1 hour ago, Andy84 said: Targets locked in and ready to go according to Craig Herp Have we been linked to any actually exciting players? We just need not to compete with cartel clubs (we lose), not buy shit players from Prem (Wissa, Elanga), no more mediocre players and no players that don’t fit at all to our game plan. Hopefully our back-up list is long this summer. It’s really worrying that most of us here knew Elanga will flop and our management didn’t. How can we be better at this? Miggys First Goal
Saw McTominay mentioned this morning. 🚨 Newcastle takes action. Discussions have taken place for Scott McTominay 💰 (≈70M£) A strong choice: less hype than Elliot Anderson… but potentially MUCH more decisive right now and cheaper. In a project in doubt, the Magpies are looking for leaders. And McTominay is one. Big file to follow

Pilko
£70m for Scott McTominay And we're all happy because we've finally utilised that great value forrin market for a more mobile version of Kevin Nolan for big money.

Id absolutely have McTominay here, just not for £70 million, I'd rather chance our arm on several Sadiki's or Baleba's

Totally been shopping in the wrong market though so your overall sentiment, if not fresh, is bang on. It sounds like with Wilson we'll be moving towards potential over 'proven' (read: expensive). Hopefully that actually comes to fruition. Man City have gotten around this, presumably with a combination of walking away immediately if games are played, and they definitely have good relationships with clubs that regularly produce talent. Possibly their multiclub model helps with that, or possibly they're talking to players and players are demanding only City. 50mil for Dias, Marmoush, 35 for Cherki, 55.6 for Doku. These are all players that Manure and us would have been told 60-70mil. But City seem to be able to get reasonable results. I spose they can promise first refusal on the top prospects from U-21 they're willing to sell.
Holloway
If a specialist dm comes in like many are hoping for, and Tino stays or is replaced with a quality rb, and Tonali also stays, how on earth do you get Nick into the starting 11, or Miley for that matter? I don’t think he’s in our plans, I think we’re hoping to sell him back to Germany. Miley is currently our 3rd/4th best midfielder and 2nd best RB. He’ll be fine for game time. Danh1
2 hours ago, Andy84 said: Targets locked in and ready to go according to Craig Herp Be nice for us to get a couple in early for a change. Appreciate it’s hard to get every signing in early doors, particularly in a World Cup summer, but it’d be great to get a full pre season or thereabouts for most of the lads. Be interesting to see if we look at any free signings this summer.
