NUFC Transfer Rumours

I would stay away personally.

They had a young lad called Amario Cozier-Duberry who was a similar profile to Nwaneri—small, technical, liked to play as an inverted winger/inside forward. He was also quite hyped and is now at Bolton on loan from Brighton.

Nwaneri has more talent than Cozier-Duberry, but not to where I see him doing anything close to huge in the Premier League. I see him floating between lower half of the Premier League and top half of the Championship. I don't think his physical traits are enough to make him a top 8 winger and I don't see them improving enough to get him to where he needs to be.

Oooof ... disagree strongly!

Wolte not having an upside is a wildly shit take.

I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't ever see him hitting the level Isak did to justify his purchase price. There isn't a team out there that will pay what we did for him unless he goes berserk next season and get's over 20 league goals.

I expect it to be Woltemade. Osula is comfortably our best striker right now.

Depends on what or who we plan to bring in. After last summers transfer desperation, I don't think we can sell Wolte at a loss right now unless we're cool hitting the max SCR threshold.

Part of the problem is another season like the one just past will destroy his value.

"Newcastle United has submitted a bid of €24 million euros, in a fixed transfer fee, with additional bonuses on top of that. Negotiations are in full swing between the parties. Brighton is very much in the picture and the race is described as wide open."

No idea who the player or the journo are. Enjoy.

He’s a journalist at a pretty big Swedish tabloid, no idea what his reliability is like. One of our Scandi posters rates the player as was discussed in the other transfers thread.

Quote

It was this weekend that Expressen was able to reveal that Brighton & Hove Albion FC from the Premier League was preparing a monster bid of 22-23 million euros for AIK's Zadok Yohanna.

The bid therefore corresponded to between 239-250 million SEK.

Shortly after Expressen's news was published, AIK confirmed on its website that the club is negotiating a transfer for the player.

Brighton is one of the clubs that has shown the greatest interest in Yohanna and the Premier League club is very keen to buy the winger from AIK this summer.

New big bid for talent

But Brighton are not the only club to have made a bid. Expressen can reveal today that Premier League rival Newcastle United have also presented a large bid for Yohanna. The bid is worth 24 million euros in fixed transfer fee, which is equivalent to 260 million kronor, plus additional bonuses on top of that.

Expressen understands that negotiations are ongoing between the clubs and sources also confirm that Brighton are still in the picture and are pushing hard to sign Yohanna in competition with Newcastle. French Rennes are also in the picture, as Expressen has previously reported, as well as another club in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops for AIK and Zadok Yohanna. However, it is clear that the club now has two monster bids to consider.

Given the size of the bid, Yohanna currently looks set to be the most expensive sale in the history of the Allsvenskan.

Rrspected journo in Sweden who often has good sources.

The player has been a big hit in the swedish top tier this season(the league is only 10 matches in right now). But he is raw and inexperient at the moment. Great technique, unpredictible and fast. Plays for AIK, same club as the rat started at. AIK have stated publicly on their website that negotiations is ongoing with a club, doesen't say wich club though. Seems it's between Brighton and Newcastle at the moment.

'I fast overgangsumma' sounds good.  We need a fast overgangsumma.

Unless it means he fasts over the summer.  That doesn't sound healthy.

Last season we got shown up by the despicable cartel.

If we lose out to Brighton man ... urgh [emoji38]

It might be us trying to hijack their deal tbf. If we were in first I doubt he would be even looking at them.

Hopefully a bidding war that Newcastle comes out on top from. Would be amazing for both my clubs.

Yohanna is an incredible dribbler, fast, direct. Played on the left wing, very good at cutting inside and shoot with his left foot. He's also very good in the air, especially for a winger. Scored a couple of good headers. What has surprised me just as much as his heading is his passing and decision making, he's got a great eye for a pass and puts great weight on them.

Obviously the step up from Allsvenskan to PL is massive, but honestly I think he's good enough for it.
