El Mala mentioned in that Athletic article. Looks like a winger version of Gyokeres to me, but like Gyokeres, as inelegant as he looks, the output is there. (Incredibly, in the same article, one source half-brags that they think they can land someone cheaper than Munoz.)

When we first got taken over everyone we were linked with I had sort of heard of. 

 

Not Minteh but most of them were decently established but not gotten a big move yet. Tonali isak Bruno. But even Tino Barnes were players we had signed but we were linked with so many good ones, even the super young ones like the Turk at Real Madrid and Roony Bardghi and Scalvini, Ekitike, Pedro, Manu Kone etc

 

How has our ability to attract diminished so far. The players are all regens. The more established ones are too advanced for us now

 

Spurs and Villa and Man u are more attractive despite recent histories

Talk of overpaying and citing the Wissa deal, big difference between paying twice what someone's worth and 5m. The fact we not only overpaid for Wissa but overpaid to such a degree but fucked around over 5m for a player who we will book a profit on regardless tells me this club has absolutely no clue.

You can’t paint last summer’s overpay on Wilson’s underpay as a direct example. But you can absolutely say the club (PIF/Hop) have no fucking clue at this point. I suspect Wilson knows how football works and has been around the game long enough to know what can happen if you delay shit. He’s the DOF so this will fall on him but the CEO and NUFC Board (Jamie, Solis, etc) need to fucking have a word with themselves. We are owned by a sov wealth fund who own Aramco, plastered all over the World Cup and F1. Our Chairman can text or call heads of state, and he has shown up to our matches in person over the period of our ownership, he claimed one time we’d be #1 and his club has gotten blown out of the water by Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City an Man United - legacy PL clubs owned by billionaires who would give A LOT to have PIF money flowing through their other lines of businesses. Act like an elite club NUFC please. Stop allowing agents and clubs to take the piss out of us. We are all fucking sick of this. It’s been the majority of our entire existence barring small short spells of a manager or someone above getting it, only to be shown the fucking door.

Nah hard disagree my bro - we need to turn into fast movers again.  We need to take the wonderkid risk again and trust our scouting, we do not not miss when we trust our process on talent ID, but we do miss when we panic and sign whoever because we lost every single option. 

 

We need to go after Minteh again as well as going after Isak when nobody would touch him.

Absolutely Kanji, and don't get me wrong I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular , just having a good old laugh at the absolute farcical nature of the club. 

 

The face saving exercise posted by the journalists is peak we don't know what we are doing. Going to have an inequest in to how we got mugged off again  

 

Literally have to laugh about it, because I'm not doing last summer again.

Yeah i agree with you bro. I think what I am trying to say is I am generally an eternal optimist and will try and find positives in most in life, and i was excited about having structure in place but am really pissed off at how we let this happen again, our fault or not (based on how you view this fallout). Our club have been laughed at for ages now for various reasons, deserved or not, and we got our takeover and our momentum was unmatched …we genuinely looked like footballs next big thing and it looked like we cracked the code punching up and smashing through the cartel ceiling put over us…nothing more than us pissing off Arteta and slug-fest after slug-fest of pressing intensity and physically destroying teams. And now it seems all just very soft and tame. We comply with all the PL nonsense, we cave to Isak, we get beaten to signings after doing all this work, our team doesn’t fight anymore and we get beaten by Sunderland twice…it’s all just very frustrating. I am tired of us being ran over and i want us to finally say hang on, fuck off, we’re no mugs and we’re going to fight on all fronts, but be realy smart and ruthless about it - at the PL, on transfers, on the pitch. We seem to play nice way too much, we have no fucking friends in this league. Richard Hughes and Edwards are supposedly mates with Howe and they have fucking destroyed him over a year. Enough is enough man.

Couldnt agree more with you sir. As someone who is more pragmatic than optimistic I personally really appreciate posters like yourself who bring positivity and keep morale up.

And I you guys who are more critical all the time. I sometimes can’t take it but you keep this place level and you ask the right questions. I’ve learned a lot from posters like yourself mate. 

 

Aye but the minute the club loses me (and those who know me personally will know It’s really really really hard to do that) you will get a nasty fucker in me. It doesn’t help at all that I am very tuned into investment of commercial real estate at a very large scale and check size as it;s what I do to make a living - the business side of football is a nerdy obesssion of mine so I’m very very critical over it and more so on how we negotiate deals as its specifically my job.

Absolutely couldn't agree more. I mean how you approach that is up to you I also have the same nerdy tendencies and I'm obviously critical but I do try and be fair and see the entire picture. 

 

Obviously we have far from complete information so we have to infer and assume a lot of things. For sometime now I've been questioning the commitments of the ownership and they haven't done anything to reassure me personally. This isn't to say they are bad owners or they haven't done a lot but what I am saying is this isn't quite what we were sold.

Look at the club's they own. they don't and they don't give a fuck about what anyone tells them either  

 

My favourite anecdote is PSG, Everyone knows the French league has no money domestically, they can't even sell the TV rights  

 

Yet they had, Messi Neymar and Mbappe all on the books at the same time. They don't care nobody will tell them anything.

What exactly do we gain by playing nice? We tried that and sold our academy CM for peanuts and hes going to be 130m to City. City then will sign our other CM and pair both of them together.
