NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Cartel clubs won’t be able to buy every talented player out there. Honestly, I’m glad the rats with no honor are choosing the vultures — they’re probably saving us future headaches. I’d rather have players who actually want to play for us than rats in disguise.

The last two summers have been humbling. Im switching off from transfers till something happens. Pointless micro analysing everything

Agreed signing out for a few days, maybe weeks, possibly months.

A costly mistake, but hopefully one that teaches us how not to mess up the budget again.

I agree mate, just having a laugh [emoji38]

I thought last summer was growing pains. There was always going to come a point where on-field overperformance was hindered by off-field limitations, but now it's looking more like an identity crisis.

PSR has taken its toll. Until our commercial revenue substantially increases, we can't compete at the top end of the matket on wages or fees, in turn making it more difficult to qualify for Europe.

While the top shelf is off limits, it seems we're too ambitious to attempt to imitate a Brighton model, meaning we're pitching to a very niche section of the market.

I'm comfortable with qualifying for Europe and winning the odd pot, but our owners do nothing to temper the impatient, with talk of best in class and 2030, its completely incongruent with where we are as a football club.

The issue is players aren't daft and see this too. I have no doubt we can still attract good footballers, but we very much feel like a club unsure of itself, who is yet to establish an identity or its place in the footballing hierarchy.

I get all of this but we can still offer higher wages than 13 teams in this league.

PSR is an obstacle yes, but we have done a shocking effort of navigating it. We haven’t looked for bargains or clever loans. We just pay full price and offer to double or triple the wages of mid table PL players.

It looks like that's what we were trying to do with Munoz.

Yeah let’s take the positives then, just fire a few more shots. Find more like that

That's a cracking photo, takes me back to last year when I thought he'd have 20 goals by Christmas

I'd argue Munoz is a Brighton level player today. Liverpool coming in for him now has totally thrown this thing for a loop.

By all accounts he has had a fantastic season in La Liga for a midtable team, was obviously highly rated by Madrid hence their clause, is capped twice and at the WC. Sounds like he's a level above your Mintehs, Adingras, Encisos or Yohannas.

I'd love it if we got Diomande, love it

That would make me feel way better about Munoz even though it'll never happen

You mean the diomande that Liverpool and PSG want? Are you a masochist.

When we signed the likes of Bruno, Botman, Gordon even Isak we had a project to sell.  Despite all this talk of 2030 we have seen zero signs of any substantial investment to achieve that goal.  For months we have been told an announcement should be coming soon on a new training ground.  Now is the time to announce it to help show current / future players that intent is real.

So only four premier league incoming transfers to date and we have one...

Wonder if everyone else are blaming Howe?

No body is blaming Eddie. Andy maybe
