NUFC Transfer Rumours

Transfer market: Newcastle have been investigating the situation of defender Luiz Felipe in recent days, formerly of Betis and Lazio and currently at Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

The English team likes the profile of the 27-year-old athlete and is considering taking further action. It is worth remembering that the clubs have the same owner, the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Fund.

The Brazilian naturalized Italian has a contract for two more seasons with Al-Ittihad.

We have generally bought very well last few years and have added a lot of quality. Still a bit to go but trust the transfers they make as maybe 1 miss with Wood but that was at a desperate time. Every other signing proving a hit, even Barnes, injury didn't help but you can see what he brings and style we play, he's a excellent player on form and will score fair few next season if stays fit.

Dan Burn, excellent value for what he's offered last few years, no pace but fits in the team, leader at the club and pops up with odd goal.

Need to shift Almiron and Longstaff out or keep as squad players and we are a pretty good shout for 4th-6th. If we get Guehi that's as good a back 4 as any outside Man City and built to press towards midfield.

Am I? Started in summer 2022 mainly because I didn't want to inadvertently start a Chris Wood discussion again or a Dan Burn debate. But..

Targett loan - hit

Trippier - hit

Burn - hit for the price (no discussion allowed)

Wood - no rating to avoid debate

Bruno - hit of a lifetime

I'd say Dan Burn's been a big hit & doesn't need the for the price qualification IMO.

I was a bit surprised yesterday when Eddie insisted that players have to leave, he normally keeps his cards close to his chest.

He’s probably trying to calm the expectations- every window some people expect us to spend £150m upwards and it can’t be feasible

Just PSR reality dawning. Not just for us as fans but dare I say even a bit for EH as it’s probably not ideal how he builds his teams and camaraderie.

I think it's squad spaces as well, particularly at RW. You can't have Miggy, Murphy and a new signing when only one will play.

He’s not wrong - at the moment there’s a bit of a stalemate as every club is wanting to sell at old prices but buy at knocked down prices because of par. Something needs to give.

Stalemate how? Some big moves have already happened, or are in the process.

There will always be some but the number of deals is right down on every window it seems. And a lot of them were forced sales that normally wouldn’t happen.

Could be wrong but Nufcblog just peddle any old nonsense.

For what it’s worth both would improve us.

They seem well connected to the youth side of things, but yeah not the most reliable.

Madueke can be all over the place at times., and can be frustrating to watch. I could see him come in and do well, as there's ability there, but he'll always be a bit hit and miss.

Kulusevski can look brilliant at times, but then can also sometimes drift through games and not be as effective. Love his profile as a player though.

Would definitely opt for Kulusevski between the two. I think if we can get some consistency and a bit more confidence into him, it could be an incredible return that we benefit from at a whole different level.

Out of the two, I think Madueke is the most realistic. Think Chelsea would be more open to a deal similar to what we done for Hall.
